Reading TOEFL Mindset

Introduction
• TOEFL is conducted by ETS (Educational Testing Service) from New Jersey, US.
• Two type: TOEFL ITP (online and paper) and iBT (computer-online).
• TOEFL ITP tests the candidates’ receptive of English (theory of English/placement test)
• TOEFL ITP covers only listening, written expression and structure, and reading.
• TOEFL ITP $50 USD.
• TOEFL ITP online is conducted remotely (anywhere and own computer).
• TOEFL ITP paper is in seat test (come to the local institutions).
• TOEFL ITP online and/or paper is carried out by third party of local instutions approved by ETS ONLY.
• Getting 500+ score helps you to pursue Masters/Doctoral Degree with/without scholarship.
Reading Section
Each Section Concept
• Total question is 50 for 55 minutes.
• Test our ability to understand, interprete, and analyze reading passages.
• Has a variety of topics (typically you will read in colleges and universities).
• Test our knowledge of English vocabulary (synonyms).
• Answer all questions following a passage on the basis of what is stated or implied.
Reading Section
Question in Reading TOEFL ITP.
• Writtern question -> skim the question, then find the reference in passage, look at the options.
• Multiple choice -> choose the best one, find the synonyms.
• Four options -> Avoid 3 distractors.
• Language features -> Wide range of college vocabulary and sentences complexity.
• Focus on variety of topics.
