A. INTRODUCTION
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized test to
measure the English language ability of non-native speakers.

To assess the English language proficiency of non-native English
speakers.

LISTENING COMPREHENSION
In this section of the test, you will have an opportunity
to demonstrate your ability to understand
conversations and talks in English. There are three
parts to this section. Answer all the questions on the
basis of what is stated or implied by the speakers you
hear.

STRUCTURE AND WRITTEN EXPRESSION

This section is designed to measure your ability to

recognize language that is appropriate for standard
written English. There are two types of questions in this
section, with special directions for each type.

READING COMPREHENSION
This section is designed to measure your ability to
read and understand short passages similar in topic
and style to those that students are likely to encounter
in North American universities and colleges.

GENERAL STRATEGIES ON TOEFL

a. Use the time efficiently (time management)
b. Use the specific strategies effectively
c. Read and understand the direction
d. Read quickly and directly to the point. Do not spend your time repeating.
e. Eliminating the distractors of wrong option.
f. Have more practice. The more you practice, the sharper your skill will
g. Be confident and relax

GROUNDRULE
The students:
a. are allowed to consult any topics related to TOEFL after class.
b. are required to work on the exercises and submit on the due date.
c. Are required to attend every meeting and actively participate during the
discussion.
d. are supposed to get and receives their scores a week after the test.
e. will get the certificate based on the requirements
