Many English speaking schools and colleges require a TOEFL score from ESL students to apply to a program. The Test evaluates the student’s ability to read, speak and write in academic English. Paper-Based & Computer-Based TOEFL
The computer-based test is very similar to the original paper-based. CBT was presented in 1998, but today centers in remote areas that do not have the opportunity to offer computer- based test, paper based test is still used. The total time for paper- based test is 2.5 hours, for CBT – approx. 4 hours (including tutorials) Internet Based Test Internet-Based TOEFL (iBT) Internet-based test was designed in 2005 to replace both previous versions of the test.
