Chapter III
METHODOLOGY

in this chapter, this study will perform the process and the method that are used while working with this
study, together with research design, respondents of the study, research instrument, data gathering
procedure and the treatment of data.

A. RESEARCH DESIGN
to acquire the purpose of this study, we chose to use a quantitative experimental research design where you
will acknowledge trends and patterns in the data. this is also a descriptive study, where the time
management of the grade 12 students and how they are managed their time during their work immersion
will be performed. this study will work towards the relationship between, the time management of the grade
12 students and their skills of managing their times during work immersion.

B. RESPONDENTS OF THE STUDY


In the study titled "Optimizing Time Management Skills for Grade 12 Students During Work Immersion,"
the respondents of the study are Grade 12 students from Sagana National High School in Santiago City. The
sample size consists of eighty-five (85) participants. These respondents were selected through random
sampling, ensuring that each member of the population had an equal chance of being included in the study.
By including Grade 12 students from Sagana National High School as the respondents, the study aims to
gain insights into the time management skills and strategies specific to this group of students during their
work immersion programs. The findings from this research can provide valuable information on how to
optimize time management skills for Grade 12 students in similar contexts.

C. RESEAECH INSTRUMENT
The research instruments employed in the study "Enhancing Time Management Skills of Grade 12 Students
Through Work Immersion: A Case Study" encompass a variety of tools designed to comprehensively assess
students' time management abilities. Surveys and questionnaires are utilized to gather both quantitative
and qualitative data, probing into students' perceptions and behaviors regarding time management
practices. Interviews offer an opportunity for more nuanced qualitative exploration of individual
experiences and challenges. Observation checklists are employed to systematically record observable time
management behaviors in real-world settings.

D. DATA GATTHERING
Procedure The primary objective of this data gathering procedure is to understand the time management
practices of Grade 12 students during their work immersion and identify areas for improvement. The
findings will help develop strategies to optimize their time management skills. This study used a survey
questionnaire in collecting the data The questionnaire is composed of questions to fulfill the collection of
data. The researchers made sure that the set of questions are enough to provide sufficient data needed in
the study. Also, these questions were thoroughly checked to make sure their effectivity and modified to
address all the corrections of each question. The questionnaire is also constructed with close ended
questions(YES/NO). The survey questionnaire is intended for the Grade 12 students of Sagana National
High School who went through work immersion this school year 2023-2024.

In this research the sampling method used is stratified sampling method. Stratified
Sampling method, The stratification process involves dividing the population into several
non-overlapping groups or classes called strata. In this sampling method it is the most
common method for the study that we are conducting. FORMULA : n = N/1+Ne² N/RPS × n
n= 85 / 1+85(0.05)² = 8 85 ÷ 27 × 8 = 25 85÷ 28 × 8 = 24 85÷30×8 = 22 ABM = 25 ICT= 24
