COURSE DESCRIPTION

Theatre practices have long been established as ways to create and add value in the classroom for
diverse aspects of learning. Right from basic skills to advanced insights, theatre has proved
beneficial and rewarding for educational purposes. It is also known to instil innovation,
leadership, resource-management and empathy, among other qualities, in learners. Keeping this
in mind, this course focuses on the manner in which an entire theatre production provides deep
management insights in a practical form. Moving across the process, the course will cull out
learnings from it to equip the students with core management related concepts and ideas.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

1) Providing exposure to a full theatre production to provide insights about various aspects
2) Learnings on leadership, attention to detail, and long-term vision setting through
different stages of a theatre production
3) Culling out insights on teamwork, motivation, and hard work to optimise on achieving
goals

PEDAGOGY/TEACHING METHOD:

The pedagogy will largely rely on classroom discussions and reflections on various aspects of the
theatre production. Various examples and experiential interventions will supplement the learning
