As in different modern-day evaluations of Austen’s novels, this overview praises

the realistic nature of the scenes and characters in Pride and Prejudice. The
reviewer observes that such stupid women as Mrs Bennet may be discovered in society
and several men and women like Mr Collins. Two years later, Walter Scott would
write in his overview of Emma that he had a pal who used to be ‘recognized through
his very own household as the original of Mr. Bennet. It is unlikely that Austen in
reality did base Mr Bennet on this person (her nephew James Leigh-Austen wrote that
‘her very own relations never acknowledged any man or woman in her characters),
however the novel suggests how sensible her characters regarded to readers in
society. However, we can see Pride and Prejudice as having a cause that goes beyond
social and psychological realism. He suggests that the novel contains sensible and
moral advice: Lydia’s elopement carries an ‘excellent lesson’, and readers may also
discover ‘useful’ evaluation from this novel's events.

This is the most impressive and amazing novel that I have ever read. Pride and
Prejudice tells about women’s position from middle class’s family on small village
in England. There are a lot of aspects that make this novel really interesting.
The first, Pride and Prejudice is the realistic novel in dealing with human
problems, from domestic, how they are at home, how they interact with other, until
they get propose. Austen creates characters powerfully. Particularly main
character, Elizabeth Bennet, she is so critical and independent. She is figured in
contrast with her fourth sister. She opposes something that is not appropriate with
her opinion bravely, like when she rejects Mr.Collins propose and Lady de Bourgh’s
request to avoid Mr. Darcy. I really admire about this novel. In my consideration,
all people need to study this novel. Because this novel enrich readers lives with
passion, poetry and romance. This is one of masterpieces which remain with you for
life.

After finishing this read, I can truly comprehend the novel's immense and enduring
popularity. Written in 1813, this novel and the characters portrayed, the social
conditions are as relevant and apt as they were back in time.

The character sketch of of the protagonists showcases the subtlety and refinement
of Austen's writing. This is the story of Benet family - Mr.Benet, Mrs. Benet and
their 5 daughters.

Overpowered with the social anxiety of getting her daughters married, Mrs. Benet
conjures every plan to get her daughters married. From attending balls to social
etiquettes.Though her husband was indifferent and lost in his own world impervious
to his wife's social conduct, he was easy going.

Their daughters from descending order of their age - Jane , Elizabeth, Mary, lydia
and Kitty. Each had their own personality and the author was successful in
portraying a picture of their personalities and outlook towards life.

The title comes into fore with the entrance of young men - Mr. Bingley, Mr.Darcy,
Mr. Wickham, and Mr. Charles.

Though each man's follies and their backstories, Jane Austen is effective in
conveying the satire of the social milieu, of class distinctions and of her
characters pride and prejudice.

The descprition of the manors, the large estates, the walk in the lawns and their
elaborate dinners is described vividly. One cannot help but fall in love with the
England landscape and culture with all its inhibitions. This book made me blush and
palpitated with the characters reveal underneath their hard exterior. My favourite
in this book is no doubt Mr.Darcy on whom I had a good impression irrespective of
how the author tried to clamaflouge his true nature.
A beautiful classic which was replesent of the society of the time and it's people.
I can dare say little has changed with the pride and prejudice of the people they
hold in their mind and hearts till date. I guess one should truly not judge anyone
and moreover because of few unfortunate incidents as one can't truly conceive what
occurs in the mind of the other.

Don't think twice to pick this beauty even if you are apprehensive to pick
classics. It's an easy read.

After reading this novel I found Jane Austen as a feminist writer, she showed the
power of women's will with the character of Lizzie. In this novel, she showed so
many great things that it is so feminist! I love that one of the key aspects of
this book is the main character Elizabeth making choices about her love life, even
though she has been thinking about everyone else. She doesn’t let them bully her
into changing. The frantic attitude of her mother, while so frustrating in the
novel, doesn’t change her mind about Mr Collins or about Mr Darcy. Elizabeth makes
her own decisions and is empowered by them, which shows the empowerment of women.
Jane Austin clarified the events of that time even nowadays our society, the fact
that women needed to marry for money and that happy marriages were rare. There is
no beating around the bush about why the book is about marriage and romance because
it was such a big focus. Moreover, I love that she wrote it so obviously. There are
no hidden motives from the author. She writes what she knows and how she sees it
and we see how crazy and ridiculous it was during her time and if we relate it with
today, it fits in the frame of our society in every aspect.
I really liked the thoughts of the author when she showed the natural
transformation of love a hate-turned admiration- turned love relationship. Even
though I knew where the book is going to end, I invested self in these characters
and wanted to know how Darcy is going to win Lizzie over.
I love that the title “Pride and Prejudice” speaks of both of them. It speaks of
Darcy’s pride and Lizzie’s prejudice and how the two of them are at fault.
I must appreciate the work of the author when she showed how Darcy makes such a
mess of his first proposal and honestly, it's the best moment of literature.
The author clearly drew structure of that era where women in the late 18th early
19th century did not have much choice when it came to their future. They could
either get married or become governesses, that if they were educated enough. Their
life was shaped mostly by their families whom tried to find them a husband who
would support them. Although in the author’s age, women were regarded as emotional,
weak, nurturing, and submissive, Jane Austen depicts her heroine Elizabeth as a
woman who has her own perspective, feelings, and opinions. This novel totally
reflects the ideas of Austen’s feminism through an analysis of the heroine in Pride
And Prejudice. Austin’s presentation of her feminist believes through Elizabeth in
regards to marriage, depiction of women by men, identity, as well as the
patriarchal society they lived in.
She shows Lizzie having admirable qualities which are numerous and she is lovely,
and clever, Her honesty, virtue, and lively wit enable her to rise above the
nonsense and bad behavior that pervade her class-bound and often spiteful society,
now if we take the protagonist of this novel as the all women then we’ll understand
the main idea of Austin who wanted to show that women needn’t to be deprive from
their rights.
I'm not a huge fan of classical classics where the writing style is dull and hard
to understand. I was so pleased to find that this is not the case with Austen's
writing style. I enjoyed every single page of this wonderful novel, and truly did
not want it to end!
