Scout Martins
Scout Martins is the main character of Scout is not a Band Kid. She has red hair,
loves wearing her school uniform , Canadian , and wears glasses sometimes. She
loves reading the Posaune Warrior Princess chapter books. She acts silly sometimes,
pretty lazy, always turns in late work, and at the beginning she doesn’t practice the
Trombone very much. She changes by playing the trombone more often. She was
practicing more and more throughout the story to achieve her dreams of meeting
her favorite artist Pristine Wong. The way she changes throughout the story is by
practicing her assigned scales and by attending practice sessions with her friend
Merrin.
Merrin Lafreniere

She is also friends with Scout Martins. She has long Black hair and she is Canadian.
She always takes her work seriously and gives it a 110% effort. She also loves the
Posaune Warrior Princess series. Her relationship with Scout Martins begins
negative, she would pressure Scout to play the trombone, and also argue with her
about how band is serious work. Without Merrin in the story, Scout wouldn’t be able
to achieve her goals Scout and Merrin are the only 2 trombone players in the
whole school.
Lou Williams
Lou Williams is Scout’s internet friend. They have short black hair and dark skin. Lou
and Scout met at a Cosplay forum a few years ago. Lou is smart, they can sew, and
loves the Posaune Warrior Princess series like Scout and Merrin does. Without Lou in

has always been there for Scout and always spend time together.
