1. Synthesize knowledge from general education, professional nursing education, Met IP Met Met Met Met Unmet
and life experiences as a basis for professional nursing practice.
a) Applies growth and development knowledge for the initiation of the patient plan
of care.

2. Demonstrates competencies of assessment, critical thinking, communication,
patient-centered teaching, holistic nursing interventions, and psychomotor
skills to manage nursing care that promotes health of
individuals/families/groups/communities in all settings, across the lifespan and
health-illness continuum.
a) Performs timely,comprehensive assessments.
b) Analyzes patient labs, tests, medications/treatments, and procedures.
c) Uses six rights of medication administration and explains rationale for
medications, treatments, etc.
d) Prioritizes plan of care for a specific patient assignment based on the
needs of patients.
e) Critical care thinks 2-3 priority nursing care concerns/problems of patients
with sound rationale.
f) Creates an individualized plan of care for assigned patient(s).
g) Systematically evaluates the effectiveness of nursing interventions.
h) Incorporates principles of patient safety and quality improvement into
patient/family education.
i) Progressively demonstrates progress in numbers and complexity of
patient/client/family assignment.
j) Provides a comprehensive hand off report when transferring or
discharging patients.
