through extracurricular involvement.
- Achieved a current grade of 99% in the HR course, demonstrating a comprehensive
understanding of employment laws, recruitment strategies, onboarding best practices, and HR
management techniques. Class average in the 60s.
- Completed introductory Organizational behaviour class in university developing a
foundation in understanding management styles, organizational psychology, and how these
characteristics can impact people in the organization, including job performance, job
satisfaction, and turnover, resulting in a final mark of 92%. The class average was in the low
to mid-60s.
- Completed introductory Management Integrated Systems classes in university developing a

June 2023- August 2023| The Bookman - Keyholder
- Provided exceptional guest service skills using active listening, organization, and positivity
resulting in exceptional sales as addressed in my reference letter.
- Reconciled end-of-day receipts with cash and credit transactions accounting for daily sales
averaging $1500. History of working with large amounts of cash independently in a trustworthy
manner.

December 2021- Ongoing | Self-Employed - Tutoring


Tutored 10+ students in total, ages 9-40. Subjects include math, chemistry, physics, English, and
French (up to DELF B2) to work towards the client’s established learning goals.
- Navigated diverse client learning styles and needs by adapting to their preferences resulting
in return clients and recommendations.
- Developed and applied exceptional communication skills. Provided clear, accessible
assistance to clients resulting in a strong success rate of achieving client-set “learning
goals”. (eg, an adult learned 100 words in a couple of months in French from zero
background knowledge)
- Demonstrated time-management skills by balancing clients with university coursework and
part-time work.

Communication / Public speaking
- I developed a strong foundation in these skills through a variety of mediums including
debate competitions, tutoring as a small business (“Lillia’s Tutoring Services”), being a
mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters, achieving record-breaking sales in a retail
environment with minimal training, and more, resulting in praise from
supervisors/customers/clients, scholarships, and awards in the case of public speaking.

French Bilingualism International Certification (DELF B2)


- I have demonstrated excellent customer service skills and built positive relationships with
French-speaking individuals in the workplace with co-workers, customers, and clients.
Fast typist (100 wpm)
- Through a 10th-grade typing course, I have developed my data entry and accuracy skills to
an exceptional level, allowing me to work quickly and accurately to input data in the
workplace, as well as take comprehensive notes in class without missing important details.
These skills transfer well to cash registers and point-of-sales systems of various kinds
including Square and others.

March 2023 - ONGOING| Big Brothers Big Sisters
- Applied communication and listening skills by being a support to her when she needed
someone to listen, through family and peer challenges.
- Assisted her in developing some basic piano skills, I had an old keyboard that I brought in,
and she took to it, she can read music at a basic level independently and she is very self-
motivated. We also did art, painting and drawing and played board games.
September 2022 - April 2023 | Global Citizenship Certificate
- Performed 50+ hours of volunteer work, including food bank, model United Nations assistance in
setup, snacks, photobooth, etc, as well as many others.
- Attended monthly synchronous online learning and discussion modules, and completed research
projects and assignments.
- Got involved with this after going to a youth conference in Nova Scotia for a diverse group of
Maritime Youth to learn about global citizenship issues.
