Objectives:

● To know what are the methods and techniques in Documentation Skills.

● To be aware of the kinds of underpinning knowledge which inform how

best to communicate.

● To find out more how simple things can make a big impact, and social
worker’s effective and ineffective communicate.
Monetary contribution

It was decided that each second-year social work student would contribute
350 pesos as capital to be used for the seminar’s costs.

Expected Outcome

● Students will be able to Experience on how they can implement those Skills.

● Students will be able to participate in various activities relating to the

2. SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION (your role, what did you do?

During the seminar , group activities by section BSSW-2 second year students .

And discussion where participants are encouraged to work collaboratively

and develop their skills. In terms of note – taking , the important topics the guests
speaker discussed us. Highlighting key points and developing a summary of the
information presented. I can also provide information on how to effectively
document information , such as ensuring confidentiality and consistency in record
– keeping .
Overall my role during the seminar would mainly involve providing support to the
attendees , to my classmates in doing activities , through relevant suggestions
about the topic given to us , reminders and facilitating discussion using my natural
language processing capabilities . Exchanging of ideas with classmates.

4. REFLECTION
a. Relevance to the Subject/Course

Social work documentation and communication skills play a critical role in

the social work profession. The nature of social work requires effective
communication and documentation to ensure effective service delivery and
positive outcomes for clients . Therefore it is essential for social worker to have
well developed documentations and communication skills. Through attending
seminar , social worker can gain knowledge , techniques to excel their profession.
Such seminar workshop can equip social workers students with the knowledge to
document their practice in a meaningful and professional manners. In social work
documentation and communication skills courses are essential for social workers
student to provide high-quality care and support services with their clients. By
attending such courses social workers student have the opportunity to develop
and refine the skills they need in profession. Ultimately lead to positive outcomes
for clients and strengthens the social work profession as whole.

b. Relevance to career path as social worker

The relevance of social work communication and documentation goes

beyond the career path as a social worker student, as it helps individuals in their
personal lives as well. Being able to communicate with friends, family etc.

path of a social worker. These skills are necessary for social workers to provide
quality care , establish positive relationships with clients, and collaborate with
other professional effectively. Clear communication skills are essential in social
work as they help social workers to effectively communicate with their clients,
understand their needs, and develop strong rapport with them . Communication
skills also helps social worker to communicate colleagues, other professional,
stakeholders, in the welfare system effectively.
