4DGC-JD-026 - Project Controls Manager
Supervise any or all of the following positions: Head of Engineering, Senior Planning Engineer,
Planning Engineer, Senior Technical Office Engineer, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Quantity
Surveyor, Procurement Engineer, Document Control Administrator, oversight of Estimators and
Cost Control.
Responsible for developing, implementing and managing the rail line corridor Project Controls
Department.
Recruits staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, and counseling
to ensure consistent application of Employee Guidelines, processes, and procedures.
Conducts performance review, and holds employees accountable for performance of their
responsibilities.
Implements Capital program controls procedures to ensure the project meets cost/budget,
schedule and document management requirements in accordance with state and federal
compliance requirements.
Manages and tracks all project funding sources including intergovernmental agreements.
Establishes reporting criteria, content and format for monthly project status reports and
quarterly presentations.
Provides reports and analysis to internal and external customers on an as needed basis.
Responsible for schedule development, maintenance and review.
Establishes risk management protocols and procedures, prepares reports required for risk
assessment and assesses risk occurrence as it pertains to probability, budget and schedule.
