Methodology

Research design
This study apply to the qualitative correlational research
method. Without influencing or modifying any of the variables, a
correlational research design examines correlations between
them. The direction and/or degree of the relationship between two
or more variables are reflected in a correlation. A correlation might
have a positive or negative direction. A drop will be seen in the
second variable and vice versa when one variable increases.
When one variable rises and another falls, for instance, there may
be a negative correlation between education and the crime rate.

Understanding Senior High School Student’s

Strategies for Managing Academic Stress and
Performance Pressure.
Background of the study

Introduction

The most valuable asset that anyone can possess is mental wellness,
especially for students who are under educated in their educational setting. As is
common knowledge, this is one of the factors that has the most influence on the
lives of the students and can reveal each personal behavioral patterns. A state of
mental health known as psychological well-being enables people to cope up with
life's challenges, recognize their own abilities, learn effectively and perform
excellently, and contribute to their community (Singh & Kumar, 2023). Many
students strive to meet their academic achievement goals where the students
think that in order to overcome one of their institution's obstacles, they must
perform well on their academic performance. Students' who excell in their
academic performance receives a reward. According to Luthans (2012),
Motivation is a process that begins with a physiological or psychological need or
deficit that drives an action towards a goal or rewards. In order to help students
manage the strain and stress that affect their academic performance, offering
some strategies and interventions helps to support the students in coping with
their stress. Coping strategies are pscyhological constructs that pertain to the
abilities, behaviors, and knowledge that individuals employ to effectively control
their emotions during stressful situations (Freire et al., 2018).
