To Mr Rhonit, Mr Sanjeev, Mr. Helmi, are there

Closing remarks Citi

from Citi Speakers Closing remarks (2-3 minutes)

Closing from Moderator Thank you for the concise closing remarks.
MoF Indonesia Please allow me also to take some highlighted
points from this today’s session. (pura2nya ya,
ini conclusion sementara dari ministerial
lecture…the real conclusion is on Monday)
– Digital money is not new and there are many
implications of digital money.
– There are also some pluses and minuses of
Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC). The
pluses started from universality, trust & financial
inclusion until greater oversight, traceability –
fighting financial crime. On the other hand, the
minuses could be disintermediation of
commercial banks which will increase cost of
funding and volatility until the issue of
anonymity & privacy.
– Therefore, the impact of digital currencies
could be categorized in 5 areas which are: risk to
Commercial Banks, Risk to Existing Payment
Infrastructure, New Sources of Revenue, Policy
Opportunities and Role of USD. And finally,
Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to thank the
speakers –Mr. Rhonit Gose, Mr. Sanjeev Jain and
Mr Helmi Amran– for their informative and
interesting presentation and also to all the
participants for their active participation.
Please give applause for the speakers and for you
all. Thank you.
I should remind everyone that we will be seeing
you again on the second part of the Executive
Workshop with the title “Regulatory
Framework”.
So, see you all later and thank you very much.
Over to you, Mr. Pilar. (Session returned to MC
for further announcements)
