Minghua RD series of touched IC card read-write device, read-write device is used very

read-write device connects a serial port data wire to serial port. Connecting speed (baud rate) is

About IC card

After studying the every operation by using the system, you should new a database, then you
can formally using the system.
You should keep Administrator’s password and password card safely.
you should do well defending virus, guarantee system’s data security. If there is a virus, please
copy the database file to safe place from DBMIS6\DATA\DBMIS6.MDB.
2.2 The system software’s configuration installation

«The DBMIS6 management system of the advanced prepayment meter» is 32 bit applications
procedures, only can run in simplified Chinese edition Windows 98/2000/NT operating system

NOTE:
1. You also can change the installation route of system to such as D:\DBMIS6E

2. After the installation finished, you must restart the computer, otherwise the system possibly
cannot be operated normally.
2.3 system startup register

The system provided the convenient use to register the module and temporarily to cancel
module in order to safeguard the data security.
The user can enter the system by the operation jurisdiction and the password which establishes
by the operator.
Localization database

System database should be “BMIS6MDB”, being put in the mainframe server shared directory.

2.4 System register

server.

the local area network.

4. The system databases must deposit to the “master station server” directory which has the
jurisdiction of read-write sharing visiting.
Specially pays attention:

1. Before using formally, you must newly build a database, initialize and clean the study data.

2.5 systems options setup

You can click on the menu [setup to maintain -> personnel electrovalence setup] to enter the
electric meter type establishment.

types, you also can increase when the electric meter go into storage.

Electric meter constant
The plate rotation (r/kWh) or pulse number (imp/kWh) of electrical energy meter 1 degree.

1st, regarding meter based on the int'l standard GB/T18460: The pre-placed electric quantity will

quantity be bought when the account be opened>= pre-placed electric quantity.
2nd, regarding non- GB code GB/T18460 meter: the electric quantities which is 12 degree been
pre-installed when it be established also must be taken out directly when the account be opened.
And the electricity quantity be written >= 12, therefore the electric quantity be bought when the
account be opened >= 24 * meter’s percentages.

5.2.1 Check card
We use check card for checking meters and returning the data of meters. You can use the card
as long as the meter works normally.
When using the check card, we insert the card to the meter. The data of this meter’s work status
will be written into the check card. This meter also can show part of the data at the same time.
Then we use the function of [Read the data of electric card] to read the data in the check card
and write it into the checking database. Thus we can inquire and analyze the data.
Notice: It can check the working performance of the relay to insert the electric card twice within
10 seconds and check the relay at the same time. If you hear the sound of " Ka-Ta", it shows that
the relay can connect and cut normally. The meter’s setup data is also showed on the meter.
5.2.2 Test card
Test card can test the load power of the meter and the descending of the residuary quantity
of electricity.
The manufacturer and the department of meters’ supervision use the card for testing the
meter’s performance and rechecking the meter. It is also used in the technical aging program
to checking and assessing the meter quickly.
It tests the load power of the meter to insert the card once: Showing real time power
“XXXXX.XXX kW”
It tests the descending of the residuary quantity of electricity to insert the card twice within 10
seconds: showing the residuary quantity of electricity“9999.DD.PP kWh”;DD=0.01kWh,
PP=Sum of pulses.

Every new meter must be reset before leaving factory or entering storage. After resetting, the
meter shows “E=00” and the inner relay is cut.
5.2.4 Manage card
The use of manage card: It is used for stopwatch and reuse of user’s meter in the precinct.
Power cut and return the balance of electricity: You must insert the manage card to stop the
meter and cut off the power within 10 seconds after inserting the electricity-purchasing card.
Then wait for the meter being stop as the display: “E =20” disappears to insert
electricity-purchasing card again to return the data. (Notice: Users electricity purchase cards
must be callback to return the data. So users can have the balance paid back.)
Reuse of electricity: If you want to reuse the electricity, please insert the electricity-purchasing
card into the meter within 10 seconds after inserting the manage card. (Notice: If you have
balanced the fare, please transact the procedure before reuse, then you will get the
electricity-purchasing card again.)
5.2.5 Preset card
The use of preset card: presetting limit to the electricity tick (or the consultative quantity of
electricity) when installing the meter. So the user can use the electricity until the limited electricity
tick was run out
5.2.6 Data copy card
Data copy card is used for making a copy of the meter’s data. One card can copy 169 pieces of
data at most. The data copied at last will cover the 169th while the number exceeding 169.
Notice: Data copy card is a special card of large capacity. It is different from other cards so you
should order it from the manufactory additionally.

6.1 database compression
clicks on [compress] to enter the database compression operation.
Database compression: Carries on the database compression once to reorganize, eliminates the
residual data fragment in the database, release the floppy disk space which takes up.
Simultaneously completes the wrong repair in the database structure.
After restores the data or finish inducting the data, please click the button [ pack compression ].
It also should regularly carry on the database compression in daily data maintenance.
6.2 database backups
clicks on [backup]to enter the database backup operation.
The backup document deposit tacitly in the system install content, if the local area network of
power supply department apply, deposits in the install content (..\DATA\BAK\)that register as
“Service computer mainframe”,the system was allowed to preserve the recent 5 backups data.
Please pay attention specially

Although system backup database once automatically every three day .It could preserve the
recent 5 backups documents, but considered from the safe angle , the manager still had the
necessity to carry on the database backup actively. And when system reinstall or promotion
please copy the file under the content(C: \DBMIS6E\DATA) to other places, guards against the
system database damage accidently.
6.3 databases restorations
clicks [ restores… ]to enter the database restore operation.

When the database damage accidently or the misoperation creates the data missing, [ database
restores ] can reduce the loss to the previous backup degree. And it can carry on the restoration
(deposit tacitly in the system install content..\DATA\BAK\) in the recent 5 backups data.
? the operation jurisdiction of the data restoration function must be “administrator”.

operating procedure
1. choose the backups document: Clicks on [browse …], elects from which backup document to
carry on the restoration.
2. Make certain of the path in which the DBMIS6 is conserved. If you want to restore the
database, please do it on the “host-serving computer” in on-line sharing system.
3. Make sure that you have made the right choice, then click the [ Start to restore ], the system
will start to restore the database.
4. In the process of database restoring, the corresponding information of data which is
transmitted from backup file will be displayed on the screen.
Illuminate
1. If the record number is equal to zero, it shows that there is no file has been appended after last
backup.
2. Pack and compression: When the database restoring is finished, click the [Pack and
Compression] to compress and clean the database by which we can clean away the fragment
and release the occupied room.
3. Button of “Data browse” could facilitate the data checking and searchning before or after the
restoring.

Notice
After the restoring, there may be some hints of unparallel right-confining setup. You can reenter
the system after shut down.
6.4 Setting up a new database
You should be cautious to use this function. Generally speaking, when there are some serious
errors occurring in database, we should set up a new database and restore the data from the
backup database. In this way, the system can come into regular running.
6.5 Database upgrading
This system provides the function of database upgrading.
a) The following edition users can upgrade the system to DBMIS6(Meter Administration System)
1. DBMIS Ver 5.15 database file name: DBMIS.MDB
2. YCMIS2000 Ver 5.1X database file name: YCMIS.MDB(support JB/T8382)
3. YCMISC Ver 5.1X database file name: YCMISC.MDB(support GB/T18460?JB/T8382)
b) Way of upgrading: After installing the DBMIS6,( the old edition won’t be destroyed because
the former installed catalogue won’t be overlaid ), start the DBMIS6 and perform the systematic
integrative module:[Setup and Maintenance] and [Systematic Register Setup]. In the section of
[Database Setup], you can click the [Upgrade] and choose the name of old edition to convert it to
DBMIS6.

Pay special attention
1. Upgrading should be done at once after the operations of systematic installation, system
registration and database initialization.
2. After upgrading, you should firstly check and modify the setup of systematic collating form.
Only manager has the jurisdiction of upgrading.

6.6 Modification of Database
Be cautious to use this function. Before perform the operation of modification, you should make
certain of the record scope and field which are going to be modified.
After click the [Database Update], there will present a window of “Data Modify” just as show in
chart 6.4.
Setup operation: Select the database which is going to be modified.

Now we take example for “User File Table”, the other operations are similar with it.
Single-click the “User File Table” below “Setup Operation”
1. Click the [Modification], there will present a “Filtrating Condition” dialog box for you to make
certain of the scope .
2. Fill out the filtrating condition, then select the field which is going to be modified.
3. After selection, the field will be covered with white blank.
4. You are only permitted to write in the white blank.

5. After the modification, click the “Save” to submit the modified result.
6. Modification completed.
Hint
You can right click the record, there will also present a shortcut menu for modification.
How to delete data

7.2 Form printing
This system has the function of form printing and there are several steps related to it. They are
fields selecting, previewing, printer setting and so on.
7.2.1 Fields selecting

The fields in form are not fixed, they can be selected from the forms to print according to your
need. A dialog box of “Outputting Fields Selecting” is showed in chart 7.3.
All fields in the form are enumerated in this dialog box, and you can select fields you want to print.
(“v”denotes selecting)
If the col width of the form you want to print is inappropriate or the font is too small, you could
cancel printing and reselect the fields or reduce the amount of fields to get proper size.
7.2.2 Form preview
After fields selecting, you can preview the form to check up whether the size or format is
appropriate through the imitating preview function.

There are several terms in this window. They are “Display Proportion”, “Print and Printing Setup”,
“Sheet and Page layout Setup”, “Page Up”, “Page down” etc.
“Display Proportion” lists out various proportional values: 200%, 150%, 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%,
10% and col width, whole page, double page etc. Click it to select.
If there are several pages to print, you can click [Turning] use scroll bar to browse
7.2.3 Printer setup
In this dialog box, you can get the printer setup including setting the amount of sheet and scope
and so on.
Click [Property] to set the size of sheet, sheet delivering way and printing mode.
