NASAL CPAP UNIT
SERVICE MANUAL
Model : nCPAP300
Ref. No : SM-7.2.3-31
Issue : 01
Issue date : Feb’ 2013
Introduction
Intended Use:
A continuous positive airway pressure unit is a device intended to assist infant
breathing by delivering a predetermined percentage of oxygen in the breathing air
through nasal opening. This unit is used in hospital environment.
nCPAP is to be used in combination with nCPAP Generator or bubble CPAP kit for
breathing with CPAP-Continuous Positive Airway Pressure in combination with the
enriching of the inhaling gas mixture with oxygen for applying on humans exclusively
for the support of patients with spontaneous breathing.
The nCPAP 300 from Phoenix is an effective system for delivery of NCPAP to neonates
and infants. This system permits the flow rate, pressure and oxygen concentration of
the air provided to the infant to be controlled accurately.
The nCPAP 300 features a user-friendly display and controls. A reliable system of alarms
is provided for the utmost safety of the infant.
1
WARNING
Equipment should be serviced by trained Phoenix authorized service personnel
only.
No service and or maintenance should be done during use with infant.
WARNING: To avoid risk of electric shock, this equipment must be connected
to a supply main with protective earth only.
Use proper tools for service.
Equipment should be switched OFF and isolated from the supply mains during
the servicing.
