Question pattern:

1. Three types of questions:

a. Critical/reflection: Where student is required to critically evaluate/analyse the

argument or policy decision or case studies etc. Critical evaluation requires the
proper understanding of principles especially the strength and weakness of the
principle. Being an examiner, I will seek consistency and soundness in your
justification rather than being right or wrong. Key to consistency and soundness is
the in-depth knowledge of the topic which is possible through in-depth reading
and understanding.

b. Problem bases: A case study or real life situation would be given to students.
Students would be asked to offer solution. Try to justify your solution by using
some principle or theory. Citing principle or theory can strengthen your
judgement.

c. Theoretical: Include what, why and how in any theoretical answer. In other
words, state what is the issue/problem with the topic, why the issue/problem
occurs and how to resolve the issue/problem in any theoretical question.

Wish you all the best
