Size and shape:

The Terra Mater Shawl is a triangular shawl crocheted top down in rows.
If you use the same yarn and hook suggested in this pattern, the shawl will measure approx. 175 x 125
x 125cm after blocking (fringe not included).
Blocking:
I recommend to block the shawl when finished. Blocking makes the pattern more visual and gives the
shawl a better drape.
I always use the wet blocking method since it can be used for any fiber and therefor is my favorite. You
can read more about blocking on my blog.

The fringe:
Each fringe is made of 2 strands, approx. 30cm long. Attach two strand
in every ch-1 sp along the edge of the shawl and in the ch-2 sps at the
tips of the shawl. I like to pull the strands through and then make an
overhand knot to secure it. The overhand knot really secures the fringe
and it will not come off when washing the shawl etcetera. Trim the
fringe at approx. 14 cm.

The fringe:
Each fringe is made of 2 strands, approx. 30cm long. Attach two strand
in every ch-1 sp along the edge of the shawl and in the ch-2 sps at the
tips of the shawl. I like to pull the strands through and then make an
overhand knot to secure it. The overhand knot really secures the fringe
and it will not come off when washing the shawl etcetera. Trim the
fringe at approx. 14 cm.
