About the author


Mary Pope Osborne (born May 20, 1949) is
an award-winning American author of
children’s books.
She is best known for her Magic Tree House
series, which has been translated into more
than 30 languages and has sold more than
130 million
copies worldwide .Ms. Osborne originally
planned to write only four books about the
Magic Tree
House, but ended up writing 55!
Ms. Osborne has lived a very adventurous life, just like Jack and
Annie, so it is easy for her to write exciting stories.
About the illustrator
Illustrator (noun) –
A person who draws or paints pictures for
books, magazines or advertisements. An
illustrator helps stories come alive!
Salvatore (Sal) Murdocca was An illustrator creates
born on April 26, 1943. He is an illustrations to
American children’s book illustrate books.

Mr. Murdocca grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He went to the
High School of Art and Design in New York City. After graduating, he

Since that time, he has authored ten of his own books and drawn
the pictures for hundreds!

He is an avid runner, hiker and bicyclist. That mean he

likes to run, hike and bike a lot! He lives with his wife in

France and New York City.
