Our Power Campaign Structure Proposal

The Our Power campaign is a community outreach campaign working to mobilize South Minneapolis around a better energy future. Our Power works through a coalition of neighborhood and community groups, local businesses, local economic development groups, local leaders, and service providers to engage people and groups within the community in creating and implementing win-win strategies for clean energy and energy efficiency across South Minneapolis. This document describes how the Our Power campaign is structured to create opportunities for community members and volunteers to get involved in advancing the campaign. South Minneapolis community members guide the Our Power campaign, but anyone can join and play a role. The Advisory Board, made up of representatives from community groups and local organizations who are coalition members, will oversee the work of many other teams pursuing various projects related to the core campaign. Those other teams will be led by staff, interns, and volunteers focusing on the types of work and projects that most interest them. Below are descriptions of each of the Our Power teams that people can get involved with. The above diagram shows how these teams work with each other.
