Dear friends in Christ.

Greetings in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank Almighty God for thy care, providence and blessings upon us throughout
last month. April was a month to walk with the risen Lord. We had series of biblical
reflections based on this theme. Let us continue our spiritual journey with the risen
Lord seeking His will. I hope you all had a wonderful time with your children during
the school holidays. We have slowly entered yet another winter season here in
Melbourne, I pray that God may keep all of us healthy and energetic throughout this
winter.

Sunday worship time change

After series of discussions, opinion poll and with a unanimous decision of the half
yearly general body meeting we have changed our regular Sunday worship time to
10:45 am and Sunday school to 9:30am. This change is in effect from 1st April 2024. I
hope this change will help families to attend Sunday worship regularly and a
community gathering after the worship service.

Organization Leaders Meeting.

The vicar’s meeting with different church organization’s leaders was conducted to
plan and discuss future projects and programs. After a healthy discussion and
mutual sharing this meeting ended up with a unanimous decision to revitalize the
church organizations and work together to achieve the common goal of our parish.

Completion of CSCC
The vicar has successfully completed the Creating Safer Communities Course of
the ADOM, that was a requirement for the Pastoral ministry under Anglican Diocese
of Melbourne.

Jumbunna Ministry Conference.

The three days Ministry Conference of Pastors working under the Jumbunna
episcopate of ADOM will be held on 5th to 7th of May at Foothill Conference
Center, Mooroolbark. The vicar will be attending this meeting. I request your
prayers for God’s blessing upon this gathering.

Welcome newborn babies.

Our parish is blessed with two newborn babies. God has blessed Dinu & Deepika,
Robin & Ancy with thy unfailing love. I appreciate the church committee for
sparing time to visit these two families to extend our joy and, also to pray for them.

St. Matthew’s Fund-raising program.

I thank and appreciate the MCSI families for your heartful support and
encouragement towards the St. Matthew’s congregation’s fund-raising program,
‘Breakfast for a cause’. I have received reports from St. Matthew’s that the
program was a great success beyond their expectation, and it was only possible
with the generous support of MCSI families. I believe it was a visible expression of
our mutual care and unity.

Let us continue to uphold our mutual love and unity as a sign of our public witness.
As Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love
one another.” (Jn.13:35).

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
Youth Fellowship meets fortnightly on Tuesdays through zoom platform and study the Bible.
Encourage all youngsters of our parish to participate in the activities of the Youth Fellowship.

CHOIR
Parish Choir meets for practice every Sunday after the Holy Communion Service at the church.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
Regular Sunday School classes are held every Sunday before the Holy Communion Service at the rear
hall of the church.

WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP
The women of our church meet last Sunday of every month after the service at the church.
Encourage all women in our parish to participate in the activities of the Women’s Fellowship.

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP
The Men’s Fellowship meets fourth Sundays of every month after the service at the church.

FASTING PRAYER MINISTRY

Our Vicar and some members meet every Fridays at 10:00am at the church for fasting prayer.

ONLINE BIBLE STUDY MINISTRY

Our Vicar leads a Bible Study every Wednesday at 08:00pm via Zoom platform.

COTTAGE PRAYER
Cottage prayers are held every month at the residence of a church member. Please see prayerr
schedule for timing.
Encourage all members to participate in the prayer meetings.
