Activity 2: Skill-building Activities (with answer key) (18 mins + 2 mins checking)
It’s a good thing that you were able to organize your thoughts in the chart. Good job! At
this point, I would like you to create a word cloud that illustrates your own concept of what a
hero is. Google says, a word cloud is “an image composed of words used in a particular text
or subject, in which the size of each word indicates its frequency or importance.” To better
understand this, please see example below.

Thumbs up everyone! Thank you for sharing your thoughts about a hero. It’s very
interesting to know how you described a hero according to you own perspective. Perhaps
you will find it humorous when someone says “He is going to do some research works to help
me until midnight. For me – that’s a hero!”
C. LESSON WRAP-UP
FAQs
1. Is it really important to study the life and works of Jose Rizal in college? Why?
Yes, because we can learn many lessons from Rizal’s life and we will be inspired by his
works.
Heroes are made, not born. Anybody can become a hero in different capacities and
perspectives. So do not undermine yourself; you are a hero to some out there. You may not be
celebrated and not awarded a silver medal, but you still remain a hero. Someone in this world is
living because of your heroic action, and again you might think you are a nobody today and
tomorrow you are somebody. All the heroes like Rizal we celebrate today were one time like you
and they just rose to hero-status; so, you can also make it. We are all equally important to our
“My Learning Tracker”. In this section, write the learning targets, your scores, learning
experience for the session and plan for the next session.
