This is what the author says about how she got the idea of this book:

"One night I'm sitting there flipping around and on one channel there's a group of
young people competing for, I don't know, money, maybe? And on the next there's
a group of young people fighting an actual war. And I was tired, and the lines
began to blur in this very unsettling way, and I thought of this story.”

When asked if it was always planned as a series (or the idea came after
the first book), she replied that while at the end of the first book, she
realized that the actions of the protagonist would have repercussions,
thus the story wasn't complete.

This novel of Charles Dickens, very true to its name leaves the reader in between an
unsolved mystery, though it wasn't planned that way.

A popular musical based on this novel exploits this idea of unsolved mystery where
audience members vote upon what happens in the ending.

At around three-quarters of the show, the actors turn to the audience to determine how
the story will end. The audience must decide who is the murderer, who is a detective in
disguise and a pair of lovers.

"There are nine different options and each is completely different. The director remarks,
"Since it's a musical, it has to be happy and a couple gets married. No matter who is
picked to get married they sing the same song."

yet fun gameplay. He took inspiration from ‘eating’ and ‘pizza slices’ and
worked with a small team of 9 developers to create X.

He got a bunch of other similar items and spun them to see which one
looked best and worked best. And from these, he selected one and after
some touch ups when he looked at it, he knew that it was the one.

This prop is a really important part of the movie, and has the potential to

The crew tried some special effects with flashlights but
it wasn’t good enough. Somehow they just couldn’t get
the handle right. Then one day while buying camera
equipment, out of desperation they asked the store
manager for something they could use as a handle. He
pointed them to some boxes and the very first box that
they opened had these camera handles as shown on

He was born in 1854 of an English father and French mother descended from a line of
French painters. He seems to have been something of an aesthete at university,
probably Oxford but certainly not Cambridge. On coming down from the university he
took rooms near the British museum to study those sciences relevant to his subsequent
career. In 1881, in a lab at St. Bartholomew's Hospital, he met his subsequent lifelong
friend with whom he later decided to share room. He refused a knighthood, but
accepted Légion d'honneur. He retired to Sussex, kept bees, but of his life after 1914,
there exists no record.

It was popularised by a Youtuber in 2020 lockdown. This style of music

involves recreating modern classics using medieval instruments such as flutes,
bagpipe, lutes, harps, fiddles, etc.

The name of this genre is taken from the medieval word for people who are
employed by patrons to compose and sing poems and stories. In the modern
period the word is better understood as a title given to a professional writer.

certain date each year. His book pitted religious ideology against the western
values of freedom of expression. Initially the publishers warned that the book may
incite a little controversy but the actual backlash was huge. The author himself
admitted that he expected a few people to call him names but he never imagined it
would blow up like this. There were book burnings, offices were ransacked, then
there were bombings and even murders. At one point the author had to change his
residence every 3 days to avoid getting killed.

In 2012 the author expressed his doubt about getting the book published in the
current time due to an atmosphere of panic and agitation.
