A: Hi, B

B: Hello A. How is it going?

A: It’s fine. How about you?

B: I’m fine. What’s up?

A: I need some advice. Our company wants to motivate staff to work harder, so we’ll
discuss some of the things the company could do to motivate them. So, in order to
motivate staffs, one of the best ways is higher salaries to encourage employees so that
they can work harder. What do you think?

B: I have to disagree on that because we don’t have enough money to pay higher salaries
for all staffs. Then, perhaps we should try to create flexible working hours because it
allows people to work when it is convenient for them and allows them to do other things.
Is it ok?

A: Got it. Thanks for the advice, anything else?

B: um…. I would suggest you give them more training to help them develop the skills
they’re interested in and evaluate their capacity. And, I also suggest that you provide
them with private health insurance. It will help them ensure their health so they can
work.
A: That sounds great, but how about giving them more holidays? It will allow them to
spend more time with their children and parents, as well as relax after long days at work.
B: That’s an interesting idea. So I believe that three things would be the best to motivate
staffs are: flexible working hours, more traning, and more holidays . It can help them
be positive to encourage career growth. And if you do that, they will be more engaged at
work.
A: I totally agree with that. Thank you so much for all the good advice!
B: It’s my pleasure.
