How does this contribute to the As stated in Department of Education Order No. 35, s. 2016, Learning Action Cell (LAC) is a session conducted by group
program outcomes? of teachers who engage in collaborative learning sessions to solve shared challenges such as learners' diversity, content
and pedagogy, assessment and reporting, and ICT integration. LAC session is an avenue for the teachers to give solution
to any challenges arise in the classroom or in the school.
The most significant impact of the School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) has been a cost-effective method of improving the
teaching-learning process (Correos & Paler, 2020). Professional development is an important aspect in improving
teachers' competences and capabilities in delivering quality services in education.
Having proper orientation on how to conduct the LAC session will equip teachers on how to make a LAC proposal, how
to implement and evaluate it.

Learning Objectives At the end of the session, the participants will be able to:
activate;
update the teachers on the different forms to be accomplished or submitted; and
instill the importance of conducting LAC session among teachers.
Key Understandings LAC sessions encourage critical reflection amongst teachers which increases the understanding and knowledge
of the curriculum and classroom practices.
School learning action cells aim to improve the teaching-learning process that will lead to improved learning
among the students, to nurture successful teacher, to enable teachers to support each other to continuously
improve their content and pedagogical knowledge, practice, skills, and attitudes, and to foster a professional
collaborative spirit among school heads, teachers, and the community as a whole.
School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) must be planned and implemented in accordance with the Department of
Education's call for schools to continuously provide professional community of practice that would empower
teachers and make them more productive teachers in front of their students.
