PREFACE
T he objective of this study guide is to prepare you for the Network+ certification
exam by familiarizing you with the technology or body of knowledge tested on
the exam. Because the primary focus of the book is to help you pass the
certification exam, we don’t always cover every aspect of the related
technology. Some aspects of the technology are only covered to the extent necessary to
help you understand what you need to know to pass the exam, but we hope this book
will serve you as a valuable professional resource after your exam.
In This Book
This book is organized in such a way as to serve as an in-depth review for the
CompTIA Network+ certification exam for both experienced network professionals and
newcomers to the world of network technologies. Each chapter covers a major aspect of
the certification exam, with an emphasis on the “why” as well as the “how to” of
working with and supporting networking environments.
In the Chapters
We’ve created a set of components that call your attention to important items, reinforce
important points, and provide helpful exam-taking hints. Take a look at what you’ll find
in the chapters:

huolinut pahemmin ahdistaa, kun jo näytti vähän häpeissään olevan
muutenkin.
"Kyllä on hauska tietää tuo kaikki. Ja eikö ole ostettu kuin kaksi
jauhomattoa? Niin, itsehän minä ne tosiaan kävinkin ostamassa.
Toissa kesänä tuotiin kahdeksan ja kolmanna kesänä koko
kymmenen."
luultaisiin minun hukanneen. Pitäkää te itse vain rahat."
"Niinhän me…"
huomasi sisarensa vastahakoiseksi; ennen toki vierailta saattoi
tiliä, mitan he niin vähällä toimeen tulivat. Ja muutamien kuukausien
kuluttua joutui Lienakin pulaan, kun hänen numeronsa, varsinkin
voitilissä, pyrkivät yhä pahemmin sotkeutumaan.
Odoteltuaan viikon, jopa parikin, eikö Janne toki arvaisi asiaa, otti
joululahjat kykeni ostamaan kaupunkilaisten tapaan. Ainakin hän niin
teki. Junnu ei tietysti jäänyt unhotuksiin, päin vastoin häntä
ikäisekseen tuli muistetuksi liiaksikin.
"Ettäkö sitte taas saisitte myödä jauhoja sijaan. Ei, näkyvät ne elot
tänä vuonna menevän vielä omina tarpeina."
