In a heartwarming demonstration of skill,

Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA)
hosts a remarkable event showcasing
Learners with Special Educational Needs
(LSENs). These exceptional individuals take
center stage at prestigious venues in Ormoc
City, including the Ormoc City Sports Complex
for Athletics, New Ormoc City National High
School for swimming, and SM City Ormoc for
Bocce and Goal Ball, as part of the EVRAA
2024 Paragames. This event undoubtedly
makes a profound impact on all who are in
attendance.

The celebration of diversity in sports

mirrors the celebration of humanity itself,
emphasizing the profound power of unity
within diversity. By wholeheartedly embracing
athletes from various backgrounds, we
communicate a strong message of equality
and inclusion that transcends barriers and
challenges stereotypes. Witnessing the
shared victories and triumphs of athletes
from diverse walks of life inspires us to
advocate for diversity in all facets of society.
Devoted coaches and Special Education
(SPED) educators in the region express their
admiration for the initiative undertaken by
regional education officials in orchestrating
this significant event. It stands as a
remarkable milestone for our learners to be
acknowledged in the field of sports,
underlining the importance of providing
opportunities for all individuals to exhibit their
talents.
The participation of LSENs in the EVRAA
2024 Paragames not only reaffirms the
commitment to combatting disability
prejudice but also serves as a platform to
raise awareness about Paragames, Para-
athletes, and the diversity of Parasports.
Special recognition is extended to the
Regional Director, Dr. Evelyn R. Fetalvero, for
her steadfast advocacy of the SPED program,
which received unwavering support from all
Superintendents and Assistant
Superintendents across 13 divisions. Their
dedication and belief in the potential of every
learner significantly contributed to the
success of the event and the empowerment
of LSENs.
The participation of LSENs in various
categories such as athletics, swimming, bocce,
and ball goal in this year's EVRAA signifies
their skill, resilience, and spirit. Their
achievements not only showcase individual
success but also highlight the transformative
power of sports in fostering confidence,
camaraderie, and personal development.
EVOKING PROACTIVE MENTALITY

As Eastern Visayas
Regional Athletic Association (
EVRAA ) fall on another amazing
chapter, the gleaming medal
tallies may shake the confidence
of our young athletes,
