Note
* Crochet the doll with tight stitches.
* Each round is worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join rounds with slip stitch or turn unless stated
otherwise. Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the ending of the round. It’s highly recommended
that you read through the pattern completely before beginning to crochet.

Materials & Tools

* Crochet hook suitable with your yarns.
* You can use the same pattern to make smaller or larger toy by using finer or bulkier yarn
* Safety eyes
* I used sport yarn 125m/ 50g 100%cotton with hook size 2.0 mm and 9 mm safety eyes.
If you use a material that is different, you will need to adapt the dimension of the eyes.
* Taille finale: 25 cm.
* Sewing needle, scissor, fabric glue/hot glue, stitch markers, some pins, fiberfil
*Pink blush makeup powder or pink acrylic paint.
* 4 buttons for the dress and the apron.

Some helpful tips and links

- X shape and V shape single crochet stitch: You might notice that my single crochet stitches are
slightly different than yours. I used yarn under single crochet stitch technique, here’s the link to the video:

- I crochet using the X method for the body, arms, legs, head and any other parts that I need
to crochet in a spiral. I crochet using the V method when working in rows/rows and for strands of hair.

- Invisible single crochet decrease: the gap between 2 decrease stitch is smaller when you use

- Other hair color/tone yarn: Yarnart Jeans 73, Yarn and colors must-have 43, SCHEEPJES Catona

- Wobbly head: the third arm is stuffed inside the neck will make the doll’s neck stronger, but it will
not make the head stable like using metal wires. You can use pipe cleaners (it’s pretty cheap and easy to buy
at your local craft store). Make sure you cover the edges with yarn, then insert them in the third arm inside

 Working on a foundation chain- Left loop or Back Bum
- Hair strands: all my doll’s hair strands are made from a foundation chain. Look from the front
you will see each chain has a V shape with a left loop and a right loop, look behind, you will see a back
bump. If I want the hair strands to look curly, I will crochet into the loops on the left of the chain only. If
I want the hair strands straighter, I will crochet into the back bump only. In usual, all hair strands of my

Assembling

Face:
- Ear: sew the ears between Rnd 72 and Rnd 76. The space between eye and ear is 6 sts.
- Sew the eyebrowns with dark brown thread with 5 sts wide, height: 1 st, between eye and eyebrown is 3
sts.
- Sew nose with skin color yarn (4 rounds of yarn) between Rnd 72 and Rnd 73, 3 stitches wide.
- Embroider white yarn in the lower 1/3 part of the safety eyes.
- Use pink blush makeup powder or acrylic paint to make the rosy cheek on the doll’s cheeks.

Hair: Secure each strand of hair in its appropriate position on the head using pins. Slowly remove one
strand at a time to apply fabric glue and pin it back down to dry, the wrong side of the hair wig is up, the right
side is glued to the head.
- First, pin Round 1 of the hair wig on the center of the head.
- Second, pin S19 is above of the left ear, pin S4 is above of the right ear
- Next, pin S5 to S18 to the part behind the back of the head.
- S1, S2, S3, S20 are for the fringe.
- S21 is above S19, S22 is above S4.
- Glue the center of the hair to the center of the top of the head with glue and go down only to the pins.
