Heritage
Located in the Sierra Norte, Patones has
managed to preserve the tradition of slate
construction along with a particular
historical halo, due to its own legend as
an independent kingdom in the 18th
century and during the Napoleonic
occupation.
In its immediate surroundings, interesting
heritage resources of an archaeological and
industrial nature are preserved, such as the
visitable site of the Dehesa de la Oliva, the
Atazar dam, which impounds the waters of
the Lozoya, or the Cabarrús Canal.
