I created this worksheet back in 2018 to help students practice translating a word sentence into a
two-step equation. There are 12 questions total. Two of the questions do involve equations with
parentheses. You might want to give your students a heads up to keep an eye out for those keywords
that indicate grouping symbols!

Your purchase does include a worked out answer key. This assignment is suitable for grades 7
through 9. I like to assign this worksheet as homework since it is self-checking for the students due
to it being a riddle worksheet!
