VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

A. SUMMARY
TIMOR GAP, E.P. is the Timor-Leste’s National Oil Company which was established in 2011
under the Decree Law no. 31/2011. Its main objective is to act on behalf of the State, in
conducting business within the petroleum and gas sector. Its activities vary from Onshore to
Offshore and national to international.

B. VACANT POSITIONS
1. Junior Civil Engineer – One Position
Main Responsibilities: Assists Engineering Manager and General Manager of Infrastructure
Support department in developing the project plan, design (Bill of Quantity & cost
estimation), technical drawings, project schedule and supervise the construction and
maintenance of building and related infrastructure projects. In order to deliver these tasks
effectively, he/she is required to possess notable skills as well as competency in the complex
calculations skills, communication skills and competency in the operations of various
engineering software. These will ensure compliance with industry codes and standards, which
will also contribute to the achievement of inclusive business goals and targets of TIMOR
GAP, E.P.

Qualifications and Other Requirements: Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering,

Construction Engineering, or relevant fields; Minimum 2-4 years professional experience as
Civil Engineer or related engineer positions in similar institutions preferably in oil and gas
industry.

2. Senior Civil Engineer – One Position

Main Responsibilities: Assists Suai Supply Base Manager in developing the project plan,
design (BoQ & Cost estimation), technical drawings and its specifications, schedule and
supervise the construction and maintenance of building and related infrastructure projects. In
order to deliver these tasks effectively, he/she is required to possess notable skills as well as
competency in the complex calculation’s skills, communication skills, and competency in the
operations of various engineering software. These will ensure compliance with industry codes
and standards, which will also contribute to the achievement of inclusive business goals and
targets of TIMOR GAP, E.P.
 Qualifications and Other Requirements: Master’s or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering,
construction engineering, or relevant fields; Minimum 5-10 years professional experience as
Civil Engineer, structural engineer, or related engineer positions in similar institutions
preferably in oil and gas industry.

3. Junior Electrical Engineer – One Position

Main Responsibilities: Assists Interfaces Project Manager and General Manager of the
Project Management Unit (PMU) department in supporting the design of electrical installation
throughout all engineering phases with drawing and documentation work for infrastructure
project i.e., South Coast Project and other supporting infrastructure projects. He/she will also
ensure electrical engineering drawings are designed to meet project technical specifications as
well as the applicable industry codes and standards. In order to deliver these tasks effectively,
he/she is required to possess notable knowledge and skills as well as competency in the
operations of various design electrical system software. He/she must be highly conscientious,
thorough, careful, and accurate. These will ensure compliance with industry codes and
standards, which will also contribute to the achievement of inclusive business goals and
targets of TIMOR GAP, E.P.

Qualifications and Other Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or

equivalent. Minimum 2-4 years professional experience as an electrical engineer or similar
positions in similar institutions preferably in oil and gas industry.

4. Architectural – One Position

Main Responsibilities: Assist the Suai Supply Base Manager in developing the design of
buildings and their components and systems which are required from each department’s
project work within the Infrastructure Unit and other supporting infrastructure projects.
He/she will also ensure all technical drawings are designed to meet project technical
specifications as well as the applicable industry codes and standards. In order to deliver these
tasks effectively, he/she is required to possess notable knowledge and skills as well as
competency in the operations of various engineering software. He/she must be highly
conscientious, thorough, careful, and accurate. These will ensure compliance with industry
codes and standards, which will also contribute to the achievement of inclusive business goals
and targets of TIMOR GAP, E.P.
 Qualifications and Other Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering,
civil Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 4-8 years of work experience as architectural
engineer or architectural designer positions in similar institutions, preferably in the area of oil
and gas industry.

5. Project Finance Officer – One Position

Main Responsibilities: Assist the Corporate Manager of the unit in providing Financial
Accounting support to maintain the prudent project finance needs under the Infrastructure
Unit. This role involves working closely with the Manager of Corporate Project including
communication coordination, and financial paperwork support on a daily basis to the Unit. To
deliver these tasks effectively, he/she is required to possess notable skills as well as
competency in financial management skills which will also contribute to the achievement of
inclusive business goals and targets TIMOR GAP, E.P.

Qualifications and Other Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting

Diploma Certificate Holder/ University Graduate in Finance or relevant area field.
Minimum four (4) years of work experience in a similar role preferably in oil and gas
industry.

C. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
