Position: Junior Mechanical Engineer

Purpose of the Role:

To provide Control & mechanical engineering design work from engineering feasibility study phase to
the commissioning phase of the operating project with a good quality of deliverables, meets company
standards and National & International codes & standards. Provide technical assistant to operational
and maintenance departments for problem solving and root cause analysis in major breakdown.

Accountabilities:
1. Develop project operating scope and provide alternatives and recommendations to the operation
and maintenance team related to maintenance issue
2. Develop maintenance strategy related to mechanical equipment to achieve maximum equipment
performance
3. Develop business case for capital project request related to achieve sustainability of the
equipment
4. Prepare and collate mechanical Engineering Work Package (EWP) documentation and
commissioning procedure, to ensure all aspects of construction, safety, and quality clearly defined
and refer to PTVI Standard.
5. Plan and monitor the compliances of reliability recommendation tasks (predictive & preventive
Maintenance, condition Monitoring, repair, replacement failure finding)
6. Provide mechanical engineering technical support for PTVI Maintenance and Operations
Department
7. Provide support and running the budget effectiveness improvement program implemented in the
working area so that the cost improvement target will be achieved.

Technical Specializations:
1. Interaction management and communications skill
2. Basic knowledge in plant equipment process flow
3. Basic knowledge in nickel production process
4. Basic knowledge in mechanical engineering design procedure
5. Basic knowledge engineering design standard national and international
6. Basic knowledge of project management principle
7. Basic knowledge in EHS system and policies
8. Proficient in English
Requirement:
1. Bachelor’s degree (S1) from Mechanical Engineer
2. 1 - 2 years experience in mechanical design
3. Preferably from mining or heavy industry plant
4. Preferably having POP certification/POP refreshment/K3 Workshop
5. Fluent in English both written and verbal
