“A Green Journey”
According to the text, answer the following questions.
Why does Lisa believe that education is essential for making a change towards
sustainability? Explain it.
Lisa believes that education is essential for making a change towards sustainability because she
understands that knowledge is key to driving meaningful change. By educating herself about sustainable
living practices, she gains a deeper understanding of the environmental impact of her actions and how she
can make more eco-friendly choices. This knowledge empowers her to adopt sustainable habits and
advocate for environmental conservation within her community. Additionally, education allows her to stay
informed about new technologies, policies, and initiatives aimed at protecting the planet, enabling her to
adapt her lifestyle accordingly and inspire others to do the same.
Have you ever been a backpacker? How this traveling style contribute to take care the
environment in your region? Mention 3 contributions.
I don't have personal experiences, so I can't answer the second question based on my own experiences.
However, I can provide a general response. Being a backpacker can contribute to taking care of the
environment in several ways:
Minimal ecological footprint: Backpackers often travel light and prioritize experiences over material
possessions. This minimalist approach reduces the amount of waste generated during travel and minimizes
their environmental impact.
Supporting local economies: Backpackers often choose to stay in locally-owned accommodations, eat at
small restaurants, and purchase goods from local markets. By supporting local businesses, they contribute
to the economic sustainability of the communities they visit and help preserve traditional ways of life.
Environmental conservation efforts: Backpackers often seek out natural areas for hiking, camping, and
wildlife observation. By promoting responsible tourism practices, such as Leave No Trace principles, they
help protect fragile ecosystems and biodiversity hotspots from negative impacts like habitat destruction
and pollution.
