READ BEFORE WRITING YOUR STRATEGIES

When developing your strategies, please remember to keep the following things in mind:

Who: those who are involved in the strategy, either carrying it out or who it is being

implemented to.

When: the timeframe/duration and/or frequency of the strategy; ensure the timeframe is

specific (e.g. over a six-month period, twice a week for two months, etc.)

How: the method or proceedings for the strategy; what is to be done. Avoid unnecessary

details.

WHAT: the intended outcome of the strategy, refrain from leaving this part out. The marker

must be aware of what it is the strategy should achieve after the method. Try to make it

clearly distinguished (the aim of this strategy, the goal of the strategy, the intended outcome

of the strategy).

- Please ensure all these aspects are covered in each and every one of your strategies or

you will unnecessarily surrender marks.

- Ensure your strategies are feasible/realistic, otherwise you will unnecessarily

surrender marks.

In order to justify your strategy, you are supposed to provide a reason for each element of you

have outlined; this is your WHY. The following questions arise: Why does your strategy

target this group or why does this group have to carry out your strategy? Why does the

strategy have to take place in this timeframe or so frequently? Why does your strategy have

to utilise this particular method? Why do you want this particular outcome for your strategy?

Outline the reason for each element of your strategy.
