AIRMAN & FAMILY READINESS CENTER Newcomers Seminar - 22 November, 0730 in Bldg 445 A seminar designed for all members and their families new to Vance AFB. Come by to receive info about Enid and the community. AUTO SKILLS Are you interested in learning more about your car? Are you looking for a relaxed atmosphere where you can do basic car care? Sign up for the Vehicle Awareness Class on 1 December at 1700. This is a great opportunity to go over your car with a qualified instructor FREE of charge. Be assured you are comfortable with the basic operation and care of your vehicle. Visual inspections and routine maintenance will be covered during class. This is a great class for couples. Don't forget to bring your car. ARTS & CRAFTS CENTER The deadline for the 2011 annual Arts & Crafts Gallery (formerly Artist Craftsman/Photography Showcase) now has been extended to 15 December. There are three categories, Crafts, Photography and Digital Art with three age divisions within each category: youth, 6-12; youth, 13-17; and adults. Entry forms and rules for the Vance showcase may be obtained at the Arts and Crafts Center. The showcase will be held 17 Apr 2012. Did you miss one of our classes we conducted this year? You can now take them again! All classes from the airplane rocker, to the sofa table and matting and framing classes will be offered the 14-23 December. Sign up by 7 December and let us know what class you would like to take and we will get the supplies and get you started. Cost varies depending on the class you are taking. Woodworking Safety Classes are offered every Wednesday at 1730 in the Arts & Crafts Center. Learn the different tools, their uses in the woodshop and how to care for them. This class is necessary for anyone looking to use the Woodshop. BASEWIDE Mark your calendars because Santa is coming to Vance Air Force Base. Breakfast with Santa is 10 December from 1000 to 1200 in hangar 170. Enjoy crafts, games, food, prizes and pictures with Santa. Volunteers are needed to help with Breakfast for Santa. Interested individuals should contact Kate Holdeman at 213-7166 to sign up. BX Vance Exchanges After Thanksgiving Sale begins at 0700 Friday, 25 November, and 0900 Saturday, 26 November. The store opening times in the printed sale flyers are incorrect. Note that not all merchandise featured in the sale flyer will be available at Vance AFB.

MANPOWER & PERSONNEL Manpower and Personnel Flight will close at 1400 on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month for training. NAF SALE Vance Club has two NAF items up for sealed bid. The blue 1990 Dodge 15-passenger van with 78K miles is for a minimum bid of $900. Runs but needs new battery. The van can be viewed at any time in the Vance Clubs parking lot. The pool/crud table is for a minimum bid of $300 and can be viewed during the Clubs normal business hours. Sealed bids will be accepted through 29 November and should be turned into 71 FSS/FSR Resource Management Manager in Bldg 200, Ste 211. Bids will be opened 30 November and the highest bidder will be notified. VANCE CLUB Vance Clubs membership drive continues through December.
