Nervous System Project

This document presents a school project on the nervous system carried out by three 8th grade students and their teacher. The project describes the characteristics and functions of the nervous system, identifies its main organs such as the brain and spinal cord, and explains how a model will be made to teach in a didactic way the functioning of this important system of the human body.

INTRODUCTION

When we are attentive to all the things that happen around us, or when we do
something in reaction to any situation that makes us feel in danger or
uncomfortable, at the moment we feel relaxed or calm. This entire sequence of
actions that we often perform unconsciously or involuntarily are carried out by one
of the most important systems in our body, the Nervous System.

Through the development of this project, the characteristics of the Nervous

System, which is responsible for making all other systems function, will be
described. The main organs that make it up and their functions within the system
will be identified.

This project will allow us to recognize the importance of the Nervous System,
which allows our life to be maintained, that we have the ability to reason, learn,
communicate and develop our intelligence.

For this, a model will be made in which the nervous system can be shown with its
main parts and the functions they perform within this system. In addition, we will
talk about the diseases that can attack the Nervous System and also about the
way in which we can take care of this system that is so important for our lives.

.
BACKGROUND

This interest arises from the observation of the performance of the nervous system

and the importance it has in our lives.

1. How does the nervous system allow us to interpret different external

information that comes to us and develop appropriate responses and carry

them out while our entire body continues to function normally?

2. What makes the nervous system different from the other systems that are

part of our body?

Among other questions that led us to have a very special interest in this topic is the

one related to neurons. We have heard a lot about these cells but it is very

important to know what their function and importance is within the nervous system.

In addition to knowing how this system influences our daily lives.

So, with great satisfaction we were able to investigate that yes, all those questions

I had were logical and had a very useful application in the context of the

development of humanity.

It should be noted that there are already various investigations and projects carried

out related to the Nervous System, different studies have been carried out on the

brain, the spinal cord and other organs that are part of this system.
Through the development of this project I hope that the educational community and

that of my municipality recognize the importance of the nervous system in our body

and in our daily lives.

THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

To carry out this project, some research and concepts necessary to understand

this topic were taken as a basis:

I. METHODS OF STUDY OF THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM

II. THE ABC OF THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

Some concepts to introduce us to the Nervous System, the key contents are

developed to describe the general organization of the system. At the same

time, we provide the development of basic content, which will allow us to

deepen in each chapter the structure and functionality of the parts that make up

the respective system.

III. GREAT SCIENTIFIC ADVANCE IN THE FORMATION OF THE PERIPHERAL

NERVOUS SYSTEM DURING EMBRYONIC DEVELOPMENT

IV. WITH A LOOK AT THE BRAIN

GOALS

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

1. Demonstrate the importance of the Nervous System in our body, explaining

its main functions.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

1. Identify the main organs that are part of the nervous system and the function

that each one plays within this system.

2. Recognize how we can take care of our nervous system.

3. Identify diseases that can attack the nervous system.

4. Teach in a didactic way the functioning of the nervous system.

PROJECT METHODOLOGY AND RESOURCES

To carry out the project we have chosen the Nervous System in order to

demonstrate the importance that this system has within our body.

A model will be made in which the nervous system is exposed with each of its

parts. We will try to use recyclable elements as much as possible to create the

model.

Materials

1. Cardboard.

2. Cardboard

3. Vinyls

4. LED bulbs.

5. Silicone.

6. Icopor, among others.
