I. Content Standard
The Learner demonstrate an understanding of organism having feedback mechanisms, which are coordinated by
the nervous and endocrine system.
II. Performance Standard
The learners should be able to make a video presentation discussing the coordinated parts and functions of
nervous and endocrine system.
III. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
a. Define nervous system.
b. Identify the parts and function of nervous system.
c. Appreciate the value of nervous system
IV. Subject Matter
A. Topic: Nervous sytem ( S10LT-IIIc-36)
B. Reference: Science Learners Module (pp.225)
C. Value Focus: Cooperation, understanding, Listening, and and realizing

V. Procedure

ELICIT MATERIALS

Let the students arrange the following words

-lumbecere
-niarb
-mest ainbr
-ordc nalspi
Are these words familiar to you?
In what particular grade or level have you studied these first?
ENGAGE

Since we are talking about brains let us have an exercise. Video presentation
This exercise somehow stimulate our brain to become healthy at all times.
The teacher will play a video about brain exercise
The teacher will then let the students follow the video.
EXPLORE

The teacher will give a text about nervous system then the teacher will the students Rubrics
summarize the text using the given graphic organizer Cooperation-3
Content 5
Neatness –2

Total --10
EXPLAIN

The teacher will let the students present their activity through reporting. Powerpoint presentation
The teacher will then rate the work of the students and discuss the misconceptions of
the students ( if there are misconceptions the teacher will further discuss through
powerpoint presentation)

ELABORATE

- The teacher will elaborate the lesson by asking the following questions;
1. How will you differentiate central nervous system and peripheral
nervous system in terms of their functions?
2. What are the parts of nervous system that belongs to central nervous
system?
3. What are the parts of nervous system that belong to peripheral nervous
system?
4. What might happen to the human body if one part of nervous system
fails to carry out its function?
EVALUATE

Identify the following:

1. It maintains body function and restores the body normal mode.

2. Serves as the main processing center for the entire nervous system.
3. Serves as a channel for signals between the brain and the rest of the body.
4. Connects the central nervous systems to the organs and limbs.
5. System that is associated with voluntary control of body movements.
EXTEND

What are the parts of the nerve cell. Give its function.
