 Activity 1
I need an Expert
The class will be divided into three learning station. These are
called “Home Groups” Each group will have an expert member
to discuss the assigned topics on carbohydrates.
After the expert member from each group meets their home
group, they will transfer from one station to another.
Integration: English (Story)
 Learning Station 1: MONOSACCHARIDE
 Learning Station 2: DISACCHARIDE
 Learning Station 3: POLYSACCHARIDE
Note: Expert will be given 5 minutes to discuss the topic.
 Activity 2 “Structures of carbohydrates”

Answer the following questions:

1. What elements do you see in the structure/ formula?
2. How many hydroxyl can be found in glucose and fructose?
3. What similarities do you see in the structures?
4. What differences do you see in the structures?
5. What is the name of the disaccharide found in cheese and other milk products?
6. Why do you think marathon runners eat a meal rich in carbohydrates the day before the
race?
7. Cite or give another uses to the industries?
D. Explain
 Presentation of output

E. Elaborate
 Power Point Presentation
Integration: Mathematics, Economics and Health
Teaching strategies
Inquiry-based, Collaborative and Integrative approaches

F. Evaluate
