Reflecting On Your Writing Experience:

Where did you work on this assignment and what were the conditions of your working environment(s) like (i.e. quiet, loud, distracting, busy, comfortable, uncomfortable, etc.)?

I worked on this assignment in the Atkins Library just outside of the coffee shop on the ground floor. I finished roughly half of my assignment here. The working conditions were very quiet and calm, until a large group of students came in playing their loud music. At that time I was forced to leave because of my inability to focus on my assignment. Later the same day I worked on the rest of this assignment in my home in my room at a computer desk. I was very comfortable working on it in my home because I just wore sweatpants and a t-shirt, and I could take as many breaks as I needed to watch television or eat/drink while I worked.

What type of mood where you in before, during, and after working on the assignment?

Before I started working on the assignment I was nervous because this was my first important writing assignment in college however during the assignment I felt relieved and relaxed to just be able to write about myself and express the frustrations of my past. After the assignment I felt relieved to have finished my first assignment in college and somewhat annoyed at the kids in the library playing their music.

Briefly narrate what your writing experience was like. Place heavy emphasis on the actions and practices you employed during your work session(s).

During each of my work sessions I worked on my laptop. I would sit back in my chair to think about my past, and once a memory had been rekindled in my brain I would lean up and write. Every paragraph I would make a point to take a small break and take a sip of my soda, or my tea.

Reflecting On Your Writing Experience:

Where did you work on this assignment and what were the conditions of your working environment(s) like (i.e. quiet, loud, distracting, busy, comfortable, uncomfortable, etc.)?

For all the times that I worked on this assignment I worked at home on my front porch. During the second date of my work I worked during a

light rain. As I sat on the porch I would watch it rain after every few sentences I wrote and it would help settle me down and make my writing easier. It was very quiet and serene on the front porch.

What type of mood where you in before, during, and after working on the assignment?

Before the writing assignment I was stressed that I had so much work to do and I was procrastinating getting it done. While I was actually working on this assignment I was calm and I felt in the zone with my writing, it felt easy at the time. After the assignment I felt completely accomplished and I felt like I had done something very good with the time that I had allotted myself for the assignment.

Briefly narrate what your writing experience was like. Place heavy emphasis on the actions and practices you employed during your work session(s).

My writing experience was one of my more relaxed writing sessions yet. I was sitting on a rocking chair on my front porch with my feet propped up on a pillow on a chair sitting across from me. Every time I would get a sentence started or an idea flowing from my brain onto my paper I would start to rock in my rocking chair. Each time I finished a paragraph or a couple of lines I would just take a small break to watch the rain and take a sip of my drink.

Reflecting On Your Writing Experience:

Where did you work on this assignment and what were the conditions of your working environment(s) like (i.e. quiet, loud, distracting, busy, comfortable, uncomfortable, etc.)?

I worked on this assignment on my front porch on a very sunny Thursday evening. It was a very relaxed and quiet environment except for the occasional chirping bird or barking dog across the neighborhood I could hear. I was very comfortable with my feet sprawled out on the chair across me.

What type of mood where you in before, during, and after working on the assignment?

Before I was in a very anti-work mood where I did not want to engage in any type of chore or assignment which would make me use my brain at all. During the assignment I was very distracted and to say the least I was annoyed with having to do this particular assignment. After the assignment I felt relieved that it was over and I felt better going to bed knowing that all of my work for that particular night was finished.

Briefly narrate what your writing experience was like. Place heavy emphasis on the actions and practices you employed during your work session(s).

As I filled in the lines on the bullets provided for this assignment, I would check Facebook almost after every line I entered. I was heavily distracted with social networking sites. After every few lines I would put in, I would listen to some music and drink a few sips of my drink.

My work ethic during this assignment was poor because of my lack of an attention span.

Reflecting On Your Writing Experience:

Where did you work on this assignment and what were the conditions of your working environment(s) like (i.e. quiet, loud, distracting, busy, comfortable, uncomfortable, etc.)?

I worked on this assignment in two places. At first I worked on this assignment in the school library, just outside of the coffee shop in the Wi-Fi hotspot area with the whiteboards on the walls. The second place I worked was at home, once again on my front porch of my house. In the library I seemed very at ease with my surroundings and I felt an aura around me that just compelled me to think deeply at what I was going to do for my project. And while I was working at home, I was

somewhat distracted because of my family being in town and trying to fight off talking to them at every second.

What type of mood where you in before, during, and after working on the assignment?

Before the assignment I was confused and completely lost at which topic I was going to choose but as I started to think about it and work on what genre I should choose, I became more relaxed and by the end of the assignment and after the assignment I felt relieved that I had finally come up with an idea for my narrative.

Briefly narrate what your writing experience was like. Place heavy emphasis on the actions and practices you employed during your work session(s).

My writing experienced was very relieving because I figured out on my own what genre I was going to choose for my narrative. In the library I would take breaks every so often to get up and walk around to stretch out my legs and let my brain have a break from the computer screen. While at home I went back and forth between talking to my brother and writing. Which was a very difficult task indeed.
