B. Activities
ACTIVITY: KNOW ME!
Directions: Creating a Diagram of their prior knowledge on Microwaves
and its functions, and do a reporting by group.
C. Analysis
1. Have you enjoyed the activity?
2. What did you learn from the activity?
3. What do you think were other uses/ application of microwaves?
D. Abstraction
Microwaves
• Microwaves are the electromagnetic waves that lie in the frequency band 300 MHz to
300 GHz.
• In the electromagnetic spectrum, the microwaves are located between radio waves and
infrared waves. It has smaller wavelengths than radio waves.
• Microwaves are advantageous as they consist of a large bandwidth that allows easy
transmission of bulk data.
Applications of Microwaves
1. Ovens-
2. GPS-
3. Wi-Fi-
4. Bluetooth-
5. Radar-
6. Communication System-
7. Medical Equipment-
8. Weapons and Military Equipment-
9. Astronomical and Space Exploration-
10. Commercial and Industrial Application-
E. Application
ACTIVITY: NOW YOU KNOW!
Teacher will flash pictures and the learners will guess if its in the application of
microwaves.
IV. Evaluation
Test I. Define Microwaves?
Test II. Enumerate the 10 application/ uses of Microwaves
V. Assignment
