Religious Education for Children: We will observe our Christmas Break again on January 1st, and will return on January 8th to celebrate Epiphany with a Family Session, to which all are invited. We want to thank our volunteer Catechists who so faithfully minister to our youngest members and to our Parish. Contact Diane Black with questions. RCIA: The RCIA group will continue their Christmas Break and return on Sunday, January 8th from 9:45-11:15 in the Basement. Parish Stewardship Envelopes: Please pick up your box of 2012 envelopes in the back of church on the table near the loft stairs contact Diane Black if you do not see one for you. We thank you for your generosity and financial support. Why Catholic?" Sign-ups: Lent is earlier this year (February 22nd), and parishioners will soon need to register for our next series of "Why Catholic?" faith-sharing sessions. Sign-ups are scheduled for the weekend of January 14-15th, and are necessary for all who wish to participate, those returning and those new to the sessions. This is the next session in a series on sacraments we began last Lent, and the same book will be used. We will need to order the books at $10 each for the people who will be joining the upcoming Lenten session. Watch the bulletin for the sessions schedule, and contact Carl if you would like to facilitate a group, or if you have any questions. Liturgical Ministries: If you are interested in being a Communion Minister, or in the liturgical ministries of Server or Reader, contact either Deacon Gerry Mattingly or Carl Fahringer. If you are interested in being a Hospitality Minister (Usher), contact Darren Esterle; Music ministry, contact either Mary Creed or Hank Lawson; if you are willing to help with Art and Environment, contact Connie Eisenback. We all have gifts to share, and what better ministries than these? 2011 Catholic Service Appeal - Bringing Christ to Others: In our December 15th update from the Office of Stewardship, we have learned that All Saints Parishioners have donated a total of $4,425, exceeding our goal of $3,750. We are grateful to those who made this possible, and suggest that you consider making a donation to this worthy cause if you have not yet done so gifts can be made online, or by using the envelopes in the back of church. Many thanks! Archdiocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass: Couples celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20, & 25 years of marriage in 2012 are invited to a Diocesan Mass of Thanksgiving, celebrated by Archbishop Joseph Kurtz. Family members are also invited to this celebration on Saturday, February 11, at 5:30 PM at Holy Family Parish, 3926 Poplar Level Road. Call Diane Black in the Parish Office to register the deadline is Wednesday, February 1st. AA meets at 7:30 every Tuesday in the parish hall. An open discussion format is used. Opportunities for Life needs You: Opportunities for Life is the Kentucky Catholic Churchs ministry to abortionvulnerable women and men. Volunteers offer hope and resources to callers who find the courage to seek our help. Volunteers answer the helpline from their homes at times that are convenient for them. Happy Birthday: 12/31 Melissa Alvey, Ralph Harris Weekday Mass: Our Tuesday 8:30 AM Mass resumes this week, January 3rd start the new year prayerfully. Judicial Vicar: Archbishop Joseph Kurtz has appointed Fr. Paul Beach as Judicial Vicar and Director of the Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Louisville while continuing as pastor of St. Francis Xavier and All Saints Parish. The appointment is effective January 1, 2012, and will be for a period of five years. Fr. Paul has written an article for our monthly newsletter which explains the position and his responsibilities. Please keep him in your prayers as he begins this new assignment while continuing his pastoral duties. Holiday Office Hours: The Parish Staff will resume office hours on Tuesday, January 3rd.
