Engine Casting Manufacturing Process


Abstract

Engine casting manufacturing processes playa crucial role in producing long-lasting and detailed
engine components for both the automotive and aerospace industries. Key methods like sand
casting, die casting, and investment casting offer significant advantages in terms of cost,
dimensional accuracy, and manufacturing efficiency. Moreover, as in the computer-aided design
(CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) have significantly improved accuracy and
quality control in casting, therefore dealing with challenges related to complex geometries,
thermal fatigue, high tooling cost, material performance, and environmental problems. This
abstract highlights the importance of selecting suitable materials and manufacturing process
technic to enhance the functionality and durability of engine components. Overall all, we can
conclude that engine casting as a cornerstone of modern manufacturing engineering.
