Study Plan

In my opinion, as individuals, our purpose is what sets us apart from one another. It is the one thing that guides us towards
the path that our souls desire to take, even among billions of other people. Personally, my purpose is to unselfishly work
towards creating a better life for those who are dear to me. I firmly believe that my greatest strength lies in my
unwavering determination to see things through to the end. I have been driven by this quality for as long as I can
remember, even before I began my undergraduate studies. Growing up in one of Asia's rapidly developing economies, I
encountered both obstacles and opportunities along the way. As a passionate advocate for promoting organizational
leadership and developing business management, I, Raihanur Rezwan, am looking forward to starting Master of
Management program at Trent University, commencing in the Winter of 2024 located in Durham, GTA, Ontario, Canada.
I am lucky to receive the letter of acceptance for the Winter 2024 intake at this university.

With a professional background in business administration in one of the largest conglomerates in Bangladesh for more
than 3 years, I am eager to gain the required knowledge and skills necessary to make a meaningful impact in business
operation and strategical decisions. I have come across throughout my experience that a decision can only be taken into a
consideration that comes from senior- level managers and to advance into these positions from a well reputed
organization, it requires strict qualifications that I will be able to acquire by pursuing an advanced degree, such as a
Master of Management from Trent University. Therefore, I am requesting my Study Permit and Temporary Residence
Visa (TRV) along with an Open Work Permit (OWP) to go to Toronto (GTA), Canada, temporarily to pursue my study.

Similar to many other low and middle-income nations, Bangladesh faces a variety of management-related difficulties that
call for the skills and commitment of experts’ knowledge in effective methods of management. Even if individuals hold
business administration degrees, there remains a critical need for them to adopt a broader, comprehensive approach. This
transformation is achievable through the pursuit of advanced degrees in management. Bangladesh is faced with a wide
range of management difficulties, such as difficulties with organizational effectiveness, leadership efficiency, and
operational excellence. By participating in efforts focused on process optimization, leadership development, and strategic
management, business management experts can play a vital part in tackling these issues. Despite some great successes in
overall business environment in Bangladesh, there is always space for improvement, especially when it comes to
promoting innovation, allocating resources optimally, and improving overall corporate sustainability. Professionals
equipped with advanced degrees in management can contribute significantly to these endeavors by devising strategies for
innovation management, cost optimization, and sustainable business practices. A proactive and adaptable approach to
management is also necessary given the rapid change among corporates, which has been driven by technological
breakthroughs and shifting consumer demands. Management leaders may provide knowledge in handling changes, digital
transformation, and market agility to firms to help them navigate this shifting landscape. Therefore, it is evident that
Bangladesh requires an infusion of professionals with management backgrounds in order to foster organizational growth,
strengthen leadership skills, and advance operational excellence. In order to remain relevant and boost efficiency in
driving these factors along with decision making ability, a professional master’s degree in management is highly required.

Bangladesh's business landscape presents significant challenges, marked by a shortage of skilled professionals, inadequate
infrastructure, and limited resources. Having completed my Master of Management degree in a developed country like
Canada, I will be able to contribute in evolving management practices and organizational effectiveness in Bangladesh. My
expertise can be harnessed to strengthen management strategies across various sectors, including organizational
effectiveness, marketing management, strategic human resource management, financial management, and policy
development and implementation. I can help organizations in Bangladesh optimize their resources, streamline operations,
and improve decision-making processes, leading to enhanced efficiency and effectiveness while elevating my career
prospect by getting into leadership role.

The importance of education has always been a top concern for me and everyone in my family. I picked up knowledge
from what I observed because I had grown up watching my father write journals and work tirelessly at his profession. I
obtained Bachelor of Business Administration degree from North South University, Dhaka, with a focus on courses like
Strategic Management, Consumer Behavior, Brand Management, and Supply Chain Management. I excelled in
challenging team projects and learned to develop long-term organizational strategies by analyzing internal and external
factors. My major in marketing taught me the value of a customer-centric approach for organizational success. I served as
a leader in The Marketing Club at North South University, managing over two hundred team members, which improved
my interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills. I realized that having intensive management skills was highly
required to confront and manage abrupt obstacles during all kind of events. I was intrigued by the management practices
and developed a strong interest in it. However, I was unable to pursue this interest for long due to a shortage of time.
In September 2020, I started my career as Product Executive at ACI Limited, which is one of the largest conglomerates in
Bangladesh. From the beginning of my career, I have been looking after business operation of one of the market leading
brands in Bangladesh and working alongside the brilliant minds to achieve budgeted profit at the end of every month.
From procurement of raw material, constructing price of product, developing marketing plan of my assigned portfolio,
forecasting estimated sales for every quarter and monitoring nationwide smooth distribution, I have been involved with
every crucial business process. As an employee of one of the reputed organizations in Bangladesh, I have always been
fascinated by the inner workings of big corporations and how they operate on a local and international scale. As a student
of business administration, I often pondered how a manager could lead such a large workforce to success. As I gained
knowledge and experience, I came to understand that every company is unique in its own way, with distinctive products,
strategies, and competitive advantages. However, the key to a company's success lies in its people, and a genuinely
motivated workforce is a valuable asset that is not easily attained. I have come to appreciate that the leader's charisma and
magical touch are what keeps the company moving forward. Over time, I have discovered my distinctive interest to lead
spontaneously. I firmly believe that pursuing my education is intensely essential for advancing my career. Having gained
knowledge and experience in diversified aspects of the management in this workplace, I am eager to discover more about
organizational administration and leadership in a systematic and cognitive approach.

Unfortunately, in Bangladesh, the conventional view of leadership skills and academic learning are still predominant,
where some people are considered to be naturally born leaders while others are deemed ineligible. I want to yield a
different approach to achieve my goal of becoming a business manager in Bangladesh's corporate industry by combining
leadership traits with my knowledge gained from obtaining the Master of Management degree. I believe that exchanging
experiences and ideas with talented individuals from all over the world will help me grow required qualities like empathy
and impartiality to approach problems from different perspectives, which are vital for a successful leader.

The Master of Management program offered by Trent University is structured to equip me with a robust understanding of
various aspects of business such as finance, accounting, marketing, business law and strategic management, forming a
solid basic for my business knowledge. The program offers courses like Marketing Management, Managerial Economics,
Financial Markets and Management, Supply Chain Management, Leadership in Organization, Strategic Human Resource
Management and so on. Acquiring a comprehensive knowledge in these areas through the Master of Management
program at Trent University will make me a desirable candidate for potential employers, as well as a strong contender for
leadership roles within large organizations in my country. Ultimately, this will bring me closer to achieving my goal of
becoming a successful business leader in my home country. In my opinion, attaining advanced professional knowledge in
the field of business is crucial for attaining success in a business career. Although I obtained my bachelor's degree from
one of the top business schools in my country, it is insufficient to secure high-level positions, particularly in multinational
corporations. Through my research, I have discovered that the leaders of esteemed organizations in my country either
possess international degrees or have undergone training abroad.

During my search for countries to pursue a master's degree, I prioritized Canada as my first choice. This is because
Canadian degrees are highly regarded and valued by esteemed employers in Bangladesh. Furthermore, Canada has a
reputation for being a welcoming country for individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, which is an added benefit.

My parents are extremely supportive of my decision to go for higher education and as my wife is going to accompany me
with an Open Work Permit, my parents-in-law are also willing to sponsor us. The sponsorship my father and mother-in-
law provided, will cover our expenses during my graduate journey. Our family members are extremely supportive of my
decision to go after my dream, and four of us have availed an amount of 93,265 CAD to cover my yearly tuition fees of
25,738 CAD, living expenses of 18,000 CAD, and other expenses of 5,000 CAD. To cover any unwanted expenses during
our stay in Canada, I can assure you that my father and mother-in-law have a steady income of 152,057 CAD on a yearly
basis, and also, they have 1,308,154 CAD worth of fixed assets available.

Both of us, being the youngest offspring of our family, will have to return to Bangladesh to look after our properties and
our parents. Moreover, I’m the only son of parents hence I will return to Bangladesh to continue caring for my aging
parents, and our family's vast assets while advancing my professional career in my home country. I have responsibilities
to look after my parents and our assets physically because my other two sisters are married and they are busy with their
own families and careers. Besides, my wife is the youngest daughter of her sick father. Her father is suffering from liver
cancer with multiple complexities in his health condition. Furthermore, my only sister-in-law is residing in Finland.
Therefore, my wife has an immense responsibility toward her father to look after him physically, and must manage their
properties as well. Overall, I do not intend to stay in Canada because, being family-oriented, I love being with my whole
family; they are the unconditional part of my life. Returning to my country just after finishing my Masters is certain not
just because of the possessions that I will obtain but because I am what I have for my parents, I have been living with my
parents since the day I was born because we are emotionally dependent on each. Therefore, even though I made a hard
decision to study in Canada for my betterment, my spouse and I will definitely be back in our comfort zone to reunite with
our parents again in my country.

I, therefore, am requesting you to accept my Study Permit and Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) along with an Open Work
Permit for my wife, Morsheda Khandakar, so that I can reach and temporarily stay in Ontario, Canada to complete my
desired degree at Trent University and return back to my home country with a foreign credential that will facilitate my
dream of becoming a successful manager in my professional career and ultimately fulfil my goal to become the better
version of myself in Bangladesh. I would like to convey how much overjoyed I would be if I were granted the visa. The
prospect of studying in Canada will fill me with immense excitement and gratitude, and I am eagerly anticipating the
opportunity to immerse myself in the Canadian academic environment. I am deeply appreciative of the chance to further
my education in such a welcoming and diverse country, and I look forward to the enriching experiences that lie ahead.

I cordially request you to approve my visa which will bring my future goals several steps closer to life. I have my word
for abiding by your rules and regulations during my stay in Canada.
