OBJECTIVES
I.OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard The learners will demonstrate understanding of physical activity
pyramid guide.
B. Performance Standard The learners will able to perform different activities in the physical
activity pyramid guide.
C. Learning Objectives At the end of the lesson period pupils should be able to:
a. Classify the different levels of physical activity pyramid
guide.
b. Simplify the importance of the levels of physical activity
pyramid guide in everyday lives.
c. Create a physical activity plan incorporating activities
from each level of the physical activity pyramid guide.

C. Developmental Activity
1. Awareness/Motivation

This time we are going to do a zumba dance to wake up your


body. So, everyone stand up and shake your body.

 Did you enjoy our quick zumba dance?


 Did you feel more energized doing zumba dance?
 Are you ready for our next lesson?

2. Lesson Proper
Activity A. I have here a picture. Look at the picture and list down
the words you have seen. Observe and answer silently.
1. What can you say in the picture?
2. What are the words you have seen in the picture?
3. Are you familiar with the activities being shown in the
picture?

Physical Activity Pyramid Guide is a visual tool that illustrates the


recommended types and amounts of activity for children. This is a guide thru
a wellness and active lifestyle for students like you.

Different Levels of the Physical Activity Pyramid Guide


1. Lifestyle (Everyday) Activities- this are the activities that we do in our
everyday life. Consider as habitual activities and they do every day without
thinking too much about them. For example, walking and doing chores
around the house.
2. Aerobics and Recreational (3-5 times a week) Activities- aerobics is when you
do activities that make your heart beat faster. Swimming, biking, and running
are some of the example of aerobics activity. Recreational activities are fun
things you do for enjoyment and to stay active. For example playing
basketball, dancing, and hiking.
3. Leisure, Flexibility and Strength (2-3 times a week) Activities- leisure activity
are things you in your free time like reading books and drawing and coloring
pictures. Flexibility and strength activity are those that can improve your
muscle and flexibility like yoga and push-ups.
4. Rest and inactive- these activities should cut down on or once a week only,
because by doing these activities it slows down metabolism. For example,
playing computer games.

The physical activity pyramid guide helps us to know how to exercise and stay
health. It shows us different types of activities like biking, dancing, stretching,
and flexibility exercise. It is important as this exercise listed in the physical
activity pyramid guide can helps our heart, muscle, and bones stay strong. By
following the physical activity pyramid, we can make sure we are active,
healthy, and taking care our bodies.

3. Application
Activity B. Construct your own physical activity pyramid guide. Do
this on clean paper. Just list three activities per level. Do it in 10
minutes.
D. Analysis

DIRECTION: In a one sheet of paper, classify the different levels of physical activity pyramid guide
and select the appropriate activity in each level in the given set of activities in the box.

B. DIRECTION: Give at least 3 importance of having physical activity pyramid guide. How
this affect your everyday lives.

V. ASSIGNMENT

Create your own physical activity plan using the levels in the physical activity pyramid guide.
Give at least three (maximum) activities at each level of your physical activity plan. Be
creative in your physical activity plan.
