Aaron,
The apology letter distributed by Brady was deeply disappointing. You continue to avoid true responsibility for the harm
caused, instead framing the situation as if you were the victim.
Describing your crimes as an isolated mistake is misleading. By your own admission, your porn addiction began long before
entering the ministry and persisted whenever you were bored. Child pornography remained on your phone two years after
you became aware of the RCMP investigation.
There are real victims beyond the children assaulted in the material found on your phone.
Individuals who opened their homes to you were in court as the evidence was shown and entered into the public
record.
Families where as a servant of God you played with their children for hours, even offering to look after the children so
the mothers could run errands. Sending gifts to the children for years after your visit.
You exhibited grooming behaviour when you were a worker.
You are a risk to children.
You must stop advocating for a return to the church. Your focus should be on restorative work starting with fully
acknowledging the damage caused.
True dependency leads to God, misguided dependency leads to idolatry.
Brady,
Placing Aaron in a meeting, even without children present, while withholding complete information about his past crimes and
the risk he poses to children, is reckless and dangerous.
There is no guarantee that people like Ken and Dorothy or Delbert and Penny won’t unknowingly bring their grandchildren or
other children into direct contact with Aaron. This was exactly the situation with Leanne McChesney, where the lack of
disclosure by Merlin Affleck put others, including my daughter, at serious risk.
Statistics show that Aaron will always be an elevated risk to children. You are unqualified to make risk assessments and you
need to act in a way that makes it clear that you understand this.
