Teaching Info and Ideas
This foldable allows student to review the ways to prove 2 triangles congruent but it also shows 2 ways that do not work
and examples of non-congruent triangles
2 Outside Options
Words
3 Letter Abbreviations
3 Inside Options:
One includes only the pictures of triangles so the student can make the foldable themselves.
A basic one that shows triangles and YES or NO, so they can quickly see if they have enough info to prove
congruence.
One with names of postulates/theorems, listing of what’s given, and diagrams. This one is great as a key or for
your paras.
Cut & Paste Option
All diagrams and wording are printed out of order. Student must cut out and paste into their foldable
Printing
These pages are formatted to print front and back, this is why they are in reverse order.
If desired, cut off extra white around outside of foldable
Fold the outside edges to center
Cut tabs
Possible Uses:
Introductory Lesson
Review Activity
Math Station
Using as a Review Activity or Station
Print just the inside of the foldable. Have students determine which postulate or theorem the diagram is an
example of. This would work with any of the inside options
Cut & Paste Activity
Print the outside of the foldable and the cut & paste pages one sided. I generally print one page on white paper
and the other page on colored. Students have to match the diagrams and wording to the correct postulate/theorem.
