If we are to prove two congruent triangles, it would be difficult using all the
corresponding parts (3 corresponding angles and 3 corresponding sides). Fortunately, we
have postulates to simplify the proving of the congruency of two triangles. We will explore

1. Congruence is used to express identical in form. Two objects or shapes are said to be
congruent if their line segments are with the same length and angles have the same measures.
2. Each triangle has corresponding parts: three corresponding angles and three
corresponding sides.
3. Definition of Congruent Triangles. If two triangles are congruent, then the three
corresponding sides and three corresponding angles are congruent.
4. CPCTC stands for Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles are Congruent.
5. Triangle Congruence Postulates. (1) Side-Side-Side Postulate; (2) Side-Angle-Side
