In primary school I played the Tenor Horn with the Birmingham Schools Brass Band at Symphony Hall 3 times. I represented Kings Norton Boys School, as the only public speaker on the team Matrix Project which was a Birmingham schools project, sponsored by Jaguar Car Company. I was chosen by my school as one of two pupils in year 10 for a chemistry camp, which called for the best scientists in the year.
I have received a silver medal at the north of England Judo tournament, as well as several other medals at smaller events I represented my school as captain of the rugby team on many occasions. I was the captain for the U15s- U19s for Bournville Rugby Club. I am a qualified level 1 rugby union coach I am also a qualified first-aider I have also attended sessions about working with children on my rugby-coaching course. I am an active member of my universitys journalism and PR society; I am currently the social secretary.
Previous Employer: NHS- Ward Clerk 2009-present Responsibilities: Running of administration on my given ward, including stock ordering. Providing a link between patients/ relatives and medical staff Providing information for visitors, while sticking to confidentiality laws Booking follow-up appointments for patients Prepping patient notes for use by medical staff. Provider of general information to Staff and patients alike About me: I can bring a lot of personal skills to the table that makes me a valuable asset to any team and any role I am assigned. I am a highly focused individual and when I am set a task I will always give it my full attention so I can complete the task to the best of my ability. I have shown through my sport that I can excel while working in a team or by myself. Years of rugby have taught me how to perform well in a team, and also the importance of teamwork to complete certain tasks. As well as this being a captain for many years in different teams has also taught me the various abilities required to be a good leader, and how the role differs depending on the team you are leading. Judo on the other hand is a sport solely based on yourself, so this has taught me how to work hard and stay focused when alone as well. I am very polite and have excellent communication skills, shown in my current job where communication with patients and staff is vital for the running of the ward.
