THE MIRACLE WORKER

" The miracle worker" is about an educator named Anne Sullivan who is attempting to help a
hard of hearing and visually impaired kid named Helen Keller to spell.The film was astounding
and rousing me so much. It inspires me a lot. There are numerous morals that I got from this
eminent film.

Helen Keller, visually impaired and hard of hearing from a sickness she had as a baby, is
dealt with more as a pet than a youngster by her loved ones. She has no information or
understanding, and simply snatches anything she desires and breaks anything that she doesn't
need. As you will notice in the movie Helen Keller is a very strong and indstrious women, she is
doing her best to learn. Passion in learning is evitable in her personality. Her visually impaired
and being deaf was a very big challenge to her, especially learning how to speak is a most
challenging for her speacially with hearing disability but it did not give her any chance to be
discouraged instead it leads for her to have more perseverance to achieve such goal. She is a one
of kind that gives a lot of inspiration and motivation for all.

Her teacher, Anne Sullivan, help Helen Keller in a way of finger spelling. Sullivan gave
Helen a doll and spell it to Helen’s hand by her ringers. She is teaching Helen a sign language for
her to learn a words. At first it seems that it was nothing for Helen but one day came she learned
to spell water when Sullivan pump a water from a well to Heles’s hand. Later on Helen learned
that water is running down to her hand and is wet when touched. Then Sullivan taught Helen
how to communicate in a way of Tadoma method. This method involved touching the lips to feel
the vibration of the words. In this way students will have a knowledge how to pronounce a word.
For some, learning to talk is a way more impossible thing to learned but for Helen she proves
that when you are motivated to learn something you can and you will be able to learn it.

The lesson I learned from the movies is that learn students how to communicate in a way
more easy possible way. There are a lot of method we can use to be more productive and
inspiring teacher in the future. Students does not have equal intelligent so as an educator I must
think of a way that I can teach effectively and efficiently that will make my students learned a
lot. In applying my learnings from the movie, being patient and willimg to listen to every student
is a great technique for the to do more. Also let them see, that perseverance and passion in what
you will always lead to success, it might be slow in process but important is there is a progress.
So, communication is the most effective way to teach and learn. It is a powerful thig in education
that makes every educator and learned to be motivated.
