Creative Brief: Tuberculosis Awareness Campaign
Project Title:
"Stay Healthy, Stay Informed: Tuberculosis Awareness for Students"
Background:
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health concern in Nigeria, with
young people, including students, at risk of infection. Many students lack
proper awareness about TB transmission, symptoms, and prevention, leading
to late diagnosis and increased spread. This campaign aims to educate
students of Plateau State University, Bokkos, about TB and general health
practices to promote a healthier campus environment.
Objectives:
Increase awareness about tuberculosis, including its causes,
symptoms, prevention, and treatment.
Encourage early detection and prompt medical attention for TB cases.
Dispel myths and misconceptions about TB to reduce stigma.
Promote overall good health practices to prevent common illnesses.
Target Audience:
All students of Plateau State University, Bokkos (Undergraduates and
Postgraduates) Faculty members and health service providers on campus
Key Message:
"Tuberculosis is preventable and treatable. Know the signs, take action, and
protect yourself and others. Stay informed, stay healthy!"
Campaign Strategy:
Educational Workshops & Seminars – Interactive sessions led by
medical professionals to inform students about TB.
Social Media Awareness – Engaging infographics, short videos, and
testimonials shared on university platforms.
Campus Health Check-ups – Free TB screenings and medical
consultations.
Posters & Flyers – Visually appealing materials displayed across
campus with key TB facts.
Student Ambassador Program – Training selected students to spread
awareness within their circles.
Drama & Spoken Word Performances – Creative storytelling methods
to engage and educate students about TB in a relatable way.
