    ToestablishanassignmentthatstudentscanrespondtousingthePortal,teachersmustmakesuretheEnable StudentSubmissionEditorcheckboxatthebottomoftheassignmenteditorismarked.Thischeckboxmakes thesubmissioneditorappearforthatassignmentinthePortal.

    Receiving Submissions
    Toviewanystudentsubmissions,clickSaveandScoreatthetopoftheAssignmentEditor.AStudent SubmissioncolumnappearsatthefarrightoftheScoringEditor.

Thedatereflectsthemostrecenttimethestudentsavedthesubmission.Thebluespeechbubbleicon,asshown inImage4,indicatesthatthestudenthassubmittedacommentseparatefromtheresponseitself. Studentsmayentercommentswithoutsubmittinganassignment.Thedatestampandall commenticonsfunctionaslinkstothespecificsubmission.

    ClickingthedatestamporthecommenticonwillopentheSubmissionDetailEditor.

ThestudentscommentsandresponseappearbelowtheScoringEditor.Theresponseappears,including formatting,justasthestudententeredit. RemembertosaveanychangesmadetothescoringeditorbyclickingtheSavebuttonatthetopoftheeditor. OnceanassignmentismarkedasTurnedIn,thesubmissionwillbelockedfromeditingbythe student.Thisshouldnotbedoneuntiltheduedateoftheassignment,incasethestudentwants tomakechangestothesubmission.SubmissionscanbeunlockedbyremovingtheTurnedInflag, allowingstudentsanotheropportunitytosubmitaresponse.

    Teacher Feedback
    Teacherscanenterfeedbackinresponsetoastudentcommentorthesubmissionitself.Feedbackwillappear inthePortalwithintheAssignmentDetail. Whenateacherentersandsavesfeedback,awhitespeechbubbleiconappearsintheStudentSubmission columnoftheScoringEditor.
